Zero rating if Possible 11/25/2010

If I could rate them a zero I would! This was the worst customer service I have received. I call to get new service and asked them to put it under my name but instead they put it under my husband’s name. So I called to disconnect it and they offered me a one week trial. Well it turns out the free trial was not a free trial! So I tried to cancel again and they said my package was accidentally sent to the wrong address so as soon as the found it they would refund some of my money because the 10 bucks they charged me for the ""free"" shipping is not refundable. It's being a month now and they still haven't received the package. I called FedEx and they said that clear had already received the package. I wish I would have avoided doing business with them. more

Consistent Speed 11/23/2010

This is my fourth broadband provider in Houston in 10 years (after DSL and Cable subscriptions). I chose Clear internet service Get One: Home package for $40.00 monthly (final monthly cost, including $4.99 modem lease + tax, $46.40). Modem is M series. Speed marketed at 6.0 Mbps downloads and 1.0 Mbps uploads. Tests indicate speeds are consistent. Nice! more

unlimited internet 11/17/2010

I love the fact that CLEAR internet service is unlimited. Coverage is getting better by the week as more sites are powered up and new back haul is installed. Speeds in Boston are all over the map. From less than 1 mbs dl and 1mbs upload to 4.5mbs dl and 900kbs upload. more

Clearwire costs MORE!! 11/8/2010

I checked online today and Clearwire costs MORE than my current Bellsouth DSL and it's also slower. Cheapest price for Clearwire was $55 monthly plus $5.99 for the modem. That's NOT a good deal. more

Clear beats other type of broadband 11/5/2010

Clearwire WiMAX uses 4G technology to provide wireless Internet connection speeds that beat other types of mobile broadband at a reasonable cost. more

You should fire your CLEAR as well 11/3/2010

I finally fired Clear after a few months. I really wanted to give them my money, but they just couldn't deliver. It worked great for a couple of months, and then I started having problems. The modem kept dropping the connection (as much as 5-10 times per hour for 5 minutes each!). I gave their tech support many chances to fix it. First, they gave me a new modem, Then, they kept trying to tell me it was my router (but the problem occurred when my router was not plugged in!), or the rain on the tree leaves (it hadn't rained in 2 weeks!), or that the modem was pointing in the wrong direction (I tried them all!). They would not send a tech out because my signal was too strong (4-5 bars), never mind that the signal wouldn't stay on consistently. In the end they insisted it was my router and would not listen to reason -- if the problem occurs when the router is not even on, then it's not the router. At that point, I decided I wasn't going to argue any more and fired them. more
