Claws & Paws Mobile Vet Clinic

A friend recommended her but when I first tried calling, it took days to get a call back. She finally called back right after I had posted a negative review on this site. Since I hadn't found another home-visit vet yet, I decided to make an appointment with her I am so glad I did. This was the best home vet visit I have ever had. She was thorough, concerned, and informed me fully of what I needed to know. She took her time, didn't rush me to get to her next patient, and was really nice to my neurotic cat. Her van is such an enormous step up for home visit pet treatment. I've never been able to have minor procedures available for my too-neurotic-for-the-doc-office cat and for the first time my cat will be able to have her teeth cleaned. I'm excited not only for the health benefits that will be for her (no mouth pain, less chance of plaque in the arteries) but also I will be awakened by a cat with better smelling breath. The shocker was the bill. It was the lowest vet bill I've ever paid. She isn't in it for the money. She didn't even charge extra for doing an anal sac express. My cat's issues weren't completely solved during the visit but I've some good ideas to try to address them. more

Dr. Sievers is a great vet. Skilled, helpful, informative, all-around wonderful. She goes above and beyond what I expect from a vet. For example, she made a visit to check on my cat (who was recovering from surgery) on Christmas day, and she brought toys for the cats because it was Christmas. She doesn't have staff, so you have to leave a message for her, but she's worth waiting for. more

Dr. Doris Sievers is such a wonderful doctor! We did not vaccinate our puppy, so in order to have her neutered our only option was to use a mobile vet clinic. We were very excited to find out that there is one here in Spokane. We were VERY impressed with Dr. Sievers' methods and care. The incision was very small, she used absorbable sutures and a glue to seal the incision, and she DID NOT used or prescribed any antibiotics! Not to mention that the cost of the surgery was less than half compared to a regular clinic. Dr. Sievers is truly a blessing and we would highly recommend her services! more

On February 2, 2011 our neighbor highly recommended Dr Doris Sievers for a pet owners every nightmare, having to put a family remember to sleep. Dr Sievers arrived at our home and you could just tell that she had so much compassion for what she was about to do. Dr Sievers sat right there with us while she was administering. She took her time talking with our pom and us. In this time of heart break I would not have wanted anyone else to help send our pom to the rainbow bridge. Dr Sievers a huge THANK YOU TO YOU. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Doris Sievers for any pet care that a person might need. more

There are very few if any vets in town with the quality of care given by Dr. Doris Sievers. Running a bird rescue I would run into the problem of finding a vet as thorough as Dr. Sievers is. She won't run tests without permission, always asking first. She will give her opinion, but back it up with facts and her experience. She won't cut any punches either. If something looks bad, she'll tell you- no pussyfooting around and making claims that she could provide some ""miracle"" cure. The only downfall I have ever run into, is since she IS a mobile clinic, she may not be available at a moments notice to see an animal. She does, however, make every effort possible to contact you as soon as possible to see what she can do for you. She also is very fast to get back to you if you have any labwork done. I usually only wait for two days for her to call me and let me know results. She has really gone out of her way to help us in certain circumstances and I wouldn't go anywhere else if I can help it! Her cost is actually lower than other vets I have seen and her personality mingled with friendliness would be hard to top!! Pros: Educated, warm, friendly and affordable! PLUS the animals all love her!! Cons: She doesn't have a staff so it may be hard to get ahold of her initially. more
