R O A C H E S everywhere all the time. No matter how much I clean, spray or bomb, they keep coming back. I told management about this problem, they gave a date, nothing happened and no one showed, you will hardly ever catch anyone in the office to complain. If you send a request online, they never reply back. The slumlord owners spent thousands of dollars renovating the lobby but didn't think a working INTERCOM SYSTEM was applicable when you have 3 floors of tenants? Did I mention the roaches. The new owners are charging downtown prices for a run down mess of a bldg. Once you get pass the lobby, the floors are filthy, stained and frayed in some places, the walls are scuffed and dirty. They have had a guy steam clean the carpets but it didn't help. Again, thousands on a lobby yet no working intercom, roaches and management is unavailable to help. I have contacted the Department of Health in Los Angeles to come out and inspect this building, it has become just this bad. I will update with what happens. For the rent charged, this is unacceptable to be living in an uninhabitable place. And if I decide to move out due to the owner's negligence I have been assured the owners will be responsible for the cost contrary to what their attorneys tell them. Did I mention the roaches in this building? un-freaking-believable! Some of my friends want to move here because it's an easy ride to USC but I told them DO NOT DO IT! There are better more habitable places than this and when you order a pizza, who wants to run down 3 flights of stairs to pick it up. I would NOT recommend this building to anyone, not one person!!! Roaches and NO intercom system, who does that and advertises as a ""luxury"" building. Slumlord owners, that's who. more

Horrible Apartment and horrible management 12/26/2011

If I could rate this place with a 0.2 star I would. I lived there for 8 years and I moved 2 years ago. I hated the place so much that I could not wait to give it a bad review. I've had roaches, no heat, poor plumbing, you name it. I called the health department on this place and made them exterminate the entire building. When I lived there, hey shut off the water without ANY notice, minimum once per week. Many times, they would post notices with water shut offs. I saved all of the notices over the past 8 years and you wouldn't believe the stack of papers that I have. I kept all of the certified letters to management about the roaches and heating problems. I still have enough information to sue those bastards. NEVER EVER EVER move into this place!!! My roommate moved out because he was so horrified. The worst apartment in the universe. more

Yeah right! 4/2/2009

okay this is how it is, yes no one wants to live in an apartment for ever... even after you retired... that's lame... same as this stupid building. Old, rusty, dusty, stinky... looks like a mad house. Pros: nothing Cons: parking, neighbors, pets, management more

If you follow the rules then you will be happy 12/25/2007

I live here for more than 15 years. Since I retired I've been staying here. Now I can't complain. If I dont like to live in apartments then I should save up get my act together and buy a house. These nice people create apartments so we can reside in these units. Now there some tenant in here that they need to get out and make our apartment a much happy place to live in. So when I see nice tenants moving in im happy. Yeah tenats complain when thing get broken down but what do I expect its an old nice building.. HELLO... If I dont like it then theres the VISCONTI for about my ARM & LEG. Let me tell you a neighbore of mine told me that theres some stuck up tenants over there. Parking is not so great the LAUSD building takes it all, but most of the time I find parking. The managers might be a little humble but they are nice. Things might take a some time to get fixed but it does. The price is good. The locationg perfict so I do recomend to live at 1207 Miramar st. The bad thing is that I can't have pets, but I can live with that. Pros: Nice management company!! Cons: night club and school in area. more
