Awful experience here last year. I purchased a Groupon for Chop Tops because the Groupon ad said they offered massages. I tried to set an appointment for 3 months and they kept telling me that they had just lost their massage therapist and would be hiring one within a month. They never hired a new one. I understand that things happen, and they couldn't have predicted losing their massage therapist, but the story doesn't end there.
I asked if I could split the $100 in services that I got with the Groupon over 2 visits, and was told no, by the owner. The service staff was great through all of this, very nice and helpful, although I did call several times over the course of 3 months, and was always told they would call me back, but they never did. I had to keep calling, probably because the owner wasn't going to let me split my Groupon between 2 visits, and they didn't want to own up to that over the phone.
So I finally decided I'd use my Groupon to get a pedicure and hair cut. Turns out I should have complained to Groupon and gotten my money back instead. The same girl that cut my hair (and she did a great job on my hair!) also gave me a pedicure, and it looked like she had never given one before. She spent 10-15 minutes max prepping my feet before painting them. Not only that, but the ""foot bath"" was one of those little plastic ones you buy at Wal-Mart for $30.
They just weren't set up for giving pedicures. So, the 2 services I bought the Groupon for (the massage and pedicure) were a bust!
One Star for false advertising and poor decision making by the owner.
