BEWARE!!!! Less than Two Weeks before my wedding they told me they couldn’t do my hair or my bridesmaids hair.... and they did it through an EMAIL!!! \r Now--about a week before my wedding --- After I had already spending more than $200 on my pre wedding appointments-- \r NOW after all that time I spent discussion and emailing the styles about what was suppose to happen on the day of the wedding day...Well --IT”S ALL DOWN THE DRAIN...NOW I have to find someone else to do the wedding hair and makeup... did I mention they cancelled it through EMAIL! \r I thought I had a verb agreement with them but that didn’t matter, we even narrowed down a time around 9- or 9:30. I even had another appointment scheduled with them the Monday before my wedding. \r If the deposit was so important to them-- then WHY --did they not ask for the deposit during the more an five hours I had spent there during the two separate pre wedding appointments?\r Did they get it then? NO!!!....did they hand me paperwork to fill out while I was there ? NO!! They sent it...two weeks before the wedding. Now less than 10 days before my wedding I have to find another hair dresser--I have never been so OUTRAGED! If you are bride beware. They promise a lot take your pre wedding money and but don’t deliver in the end!!!!! more

false advertising, poor decisions by owner 4/11/2011

Awful experience here last year. I purchased a Groupon for Chop Tops because the Groupon ad said they offered massages. I tried to set an appointment for 3 months and they kept telling me that they had just lost their massage therapist and would be hiring one within a month. They never hired a new one. I understand that things happen, and they couldn't have predicted losing their massage therapist, but the story doesn't end there. I asked if I could split the $100 in services that I got with the Groupon over 2 visits, and was told no, by the owner. The service staff was great through all of this, very nice and helpful, although I did call several times over the course of 3 months, and was always told they would call me back, but they never did. I had to keep calling, probably because the owner wasn't going to let me split my Groupon between 2 visits, and they didn't want to own up to that over the phone. So I finally decided I'd use my Groupon to get a pedicure and hair cut. Turns out I should have complained to Groupon and gotten my money back instead. The same girl that cut my hair (and she did a great job on my hair!) also gave me a pedicure, and it looked like she had never given one before. She spent 10-15 minutes max prepping my feet before painting them. Not only that, but the ""foot bath"" was one of those little plastic ones you buy at Wal-Mart for $30. They just weren't set up for giving pedicures. So, the 2 services I bought the Groupon for (the massage and pedicure) were a bust! One Star for false advertising and poor decision making by the owner. more

Terrible! 12/15/2010

In this job market, you'd think they could find someone with a little experience. I was cut up by a young woman that had no clue how to cut hair. She seemed scared through the whole time I was getting a simple trim - like I was her first customer ever. I felt like I had to walk her through the whole thing. She was done. But forgot to trim the neck. Then she was done. So I had to ask to get the sideburns done. She was done. But then she remembered to blow dry. But she apparently got bored, because she stopped when my hair was still wet. She was done and asked if I was happy. With wet hair combed straight back and without having been offered a mirror to look at the back, how can I tell if I'm happy with it? If you've ever wanted to teach hair styling, here's your chance. Chop Tops needs a customer willing to walk the stylist through each and every decision. Just a terrible, terrible experience! more
