I don't normally give bad reviews - but this place has me upset for -almost- every dollar spent there. I visited it twice to give it more than one shot. And here is my quick bullets about this place.\r ~ Overpriced... \r Ex. Two eggs poached with two pieces of average bacon (not thick cut or anything special) for $6.25 with 4 thin pieces of 4 inch long flattened baguette bread.\r ~ Lunch/Sandwiches - Mostly bread (as other reviewer said) which was EXTREMELY hard (and this is hard even by French bread standards - breakfast bread was more pleasant). Meat is scarce and thin sliced - TOTALLY not worth more than $5 let alone what they charged me for it (Around $8 if I recall or even as much as over $10).\r ~ The server I had for breakfast happened to not be the best for takeout - but wasn't horrific. Just made an unpleasant experience worse is all.\r ~ Mediocre coffee but least better than fast food coffee... but at $3.25 a cup, I'd rather go to Pasion Del Cielo a few blocks away. \r \r GOOD POINTS NOW!\r ~ Good desserts - and I mean this sincerely. Had the berry tart and it was good. Its about all I would recommend this place for (all the desserts looked appealing, and its ok to upcharge those as their more of an art combined with taste). \r ~ The male server I had indoors was AMAZING. Older looking man (or younger with receding hair...? I don't mean to be mean, just trying to identify an amazing server). Very honest, very fast - awesome guy - made me consider this second visit which I -hated-.\r ------------------\r .... And that's about it. I would and will never come here again, unless its to pick up a pastry to go. \r Next time - I'll go to another small business restaurant, or just hit up my staple for amazing drinks Pasion del Cielo for breakfast. \r \r One last thing - that picture of the menu that is up? OLD. Prices have gone up a bit for breakfast, and its missing the opposite side (which shows the sandwiches and etc). more

Eventhough it seems to be getting smaller inside since getting around the restaurant is not easy, the food is great, for breakfast a must. more

A Dissapointment. Although the tarts & patissarie in the cases looked amazing, we had sandwiches, potatoes lyonnaise, coffee drinks & chocolate croissant. Foods were either mediocre and bland, or so heavily salted as to make them nearly inedible. The croissant *cannot* be freshly made as they tasted like bake off products you'd get at Winn Dixie on a Tuesday afternoon. The biggest disappointment came in the form of the stale macaroons. On our next trip to Miami, this will be a miss. more

So dissapointing. Used to be good. Poached eggs were cooked solid, had to send coffee back because it was cold. Was charged $5.50 for an insipid fruit salad. Won't go back again. more

Lunch was really terrible. Roast beef sandwich was dry and the bread was hard and stale. Tuna sandwich was a scoop in the center of the bread - not even spread into the sides. Brioche was fresh. Desserts were very good- the creme brûlée and the Baltazar were delicious. more

Great food - bad service! 10/17/2009

we've gone to Chocolate Fashion a few times...always thinking the next time will be better...but the truth is that the service is slow, the wait staff always forgets something, and although the food is good the frustration is probably not worth it. This morning we tried it again...2 of the 4 in our party got served but the other 2 were completely forgotten. We didn't get the bread with the breakfast...but about 15 minutes later at which point we were almost done. I ordered ham with my omelet (which they forgot to include) and after reminding her several times she brought me a couple of cold slices of ham when I was almost done! I couldn't believe it! We will not be going back. Pros: great desserts... Cons: very full during peak hours - bad service more

Excellent 4/9/2009

Love this place in every way...lunch sandwiches are yummy, breakfast is my favorite and desserts are to die for! My husband and I have a ritual of going on Sat or Sun for b-fast. Love the french toast and spinach quiche. Venue is tiny tiny but they turn the tables good enough to where you're usually seated before you get annoyed. Have purchased muffin treys for b-fast at work and they go that extra mile to make it special. Well worth the money for treys and cakes. The one service I haven't tried yet is purchasing my T-giving or C-mas meal there but that is next I'm sure. The coffee is also excellent, although 'to go coffee' I've experienced extremely dangerously hot coffee...I know I know I sound like the guy that would sew McDs over getting what they asked for hot coffee! But their cups are not exactly Starbucks and it burns: ) Recommend the cafe con leche or latte mocha. Enjoy!!! Pros: Great Foods---Especially for catering or Desserts Cons: Venue Too small more
