I don't normally give bad reviews - but this place has me upset for -almost- every dollar spent there. I visited it twice to give it more than one shot. And here is my quick bullets about this place.\r
~ Overpriced... \r
Ex. Two eggs poached with two pieces of average bacon (not thick cut or anything special) for $6.25 with 4 thin pieces of 4 inch long flattened baguette bread.\r
~ Lunch/Sandwiches - Mostly bread (as other reviewer said) which was EXTREMELY hard (and this is hard even by French bread standards - breakfast bread was more pleasant). Meat is scarce and thin sliced - TOTALLY not worth more than $5 let alone what they charged me for it (Around $8 if I recall or even as much as over $10).\r
~ The server I had for breakfast happened to not be the best for takeout - but wasn't horrific. Just made an unpleasant experience worse is all.\r
~ Mediocre coffee but least better than fast food coffee... but at $3.25 a cup, I'd rather go to Pasion Del Cielo a few blocks away. \r
\r
GOOD POINTS NOW!\r
~ Good desserts - and I mean this sincerely. Had the berry tart and it was good. Its about all I would recommend this place for (all the desserts looked appealing, and its ok to upcharge those as their more of an art combined with taste). \r
~ The male server I had indoors was AMAZING. Older looking man (or younger with receding hair...? I don't mean to be mean, just trying to identify an amazing server). Very honest, very fast - awesome guy - made me consider this second visit which I -hated-.\r
------------------\r
.... And that's about it. I would and will never come here again, unless its to pick up a pastry to go. \r
Next time - I'll go to another small business restaurant, or just hit up my staple for amazing drinks Pasion del Cielo for breakfast. \r
\r
One last thing - that picture of the menu that is up? OLD. Prices have gone up a bit for breakfast, and its missing the opposite side (which shows the sandwiches and etc).
