Best

Great food! Can't get enough of that Mushu Pork! Always great service. Tables are perfect size to order anything you want, are well-spaced apart, and are very clean with white ...

Worst

The place we had to sit was horrible. There was a wedding reception taking up the main dining area so they stuck everybody else into what used to be the bar which is now basicall...

Good Deals 1/15/2010

I go here for lunch every now and then. They have really good lunch deals. They food is not the best I have every had, but it is edible. more

China Stix Restaurant is not the best, but still a good deal. 8/14/2009

China Stix is your usual Chinese restaurant. I have come here when I had coupons, which made it more worth it. The food is a good price and it is a good place for meals out on weeknights when you are not looking to splurge. The food here is not authentic, but is not bad. more

Not Bad 12/4/2008

The chinese food here was pretty average, I found. The staff was very helpful and nice, I just felt the food wasn't of the freshest ingredients and very Americanized. But for the price it is a good deal more

Terrible food swimming in grease 8/22/2008

I've read a number of positive reviews for this place and decided to check it out. I bought several items and when I brought them home, I noticed a strong grease smell when I opened the bag. Virtually every item glistened in a sheen of oil. I know Chinese food is cooked in oil, but this was ridiculous. Every bit went down the garbage disposal, and I hate to waste food. If you love greasy, oily Chinese food, this is your spot. Pros: A lot of people seem to enjoy this place Cons: Oily, greasy food that's not cheap more

China Stix 10/5/2007

We have been going to this restaurant for years. A great place for casual dining in or for take out. My personal favorites are the spicy hot and sour soup and the Mandarin Prawns. Their facilities can also accommodate large events. more

Santa Clara Valley deserves better than this. 6/28/2007

The place we had to sit was horrible. There was a wedding reception taking up the main dining area so they stuck everybody else into what used to be the bar which is now basically a storage area crammed with 6 tables. There were boxes piled up on the back bar and against the windows up to the ceiling. In a pathetic attempt to conceal these boxes of toilet paper, take-out containers and fortune cookies, they used a few of those Cost-Plus trifold shoji screens; didn't work guys, it still feels like a storage room, not a dining room. Our table was shoved against the bar which is now used as a servers' station-- as the servers were rushing back and forth filling teapots and water glasses, i had a bit of hot tea and then ice water spilled on the back of my neck. We left no tip. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Atmosphere, attention to detail more

Chineese Food 3/31/2007

I have been living in the bay area for long and the closest I got to chinese food was Mr.Chau's. That was until I went to China Stix restaurant.\r \r The place is big and gets crowded during the weekends. Seeing the crowd, I assume its a favorite of the chineese. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, veg chaumein and one more dish with chicken ( I don't remember the name ). The food was certainly good. I don't have much knowledge about chineese ingredients but it definitely made my family happy. The customer service, however was not good. They were not patient with our orders and did not care to ask again if we needed anything else. However, I would go there again to try something different from their menu.\r \r think this place is not bad for Chinese foodOne of the few places that serve Dim Sum for lunch - only a couple of carts so we ordered off the menu as well. Eggplant Garlic Sauce was for lunch. more

Surprisingly good, misleading name 9/24/2004

With a name like China Stix, you'd expect this restaurant to be a mall-food-court type Americanized Chinese restaurant. It's much more authentic than I expected (and I am Asian). The dim sum is very good, though some items are not as hot as they should be. Prices aren't cheap but not bad. more

Consistent 7/12/2004

Good noodles. As authentic as any Chinese Food Restaurant. This is coming from a real Chinese person. :) A mix of different regional Chinese foods including Northern Chinese (noodles, chinese doughnuts) and Canton fares. Pros: Quick service, good food more

Horrible 7/7/2004

The food is really poor - on the far end of inauthentic. This is a great example of how name recognition doesn't equal "good" or quality. Plus, it tends be to incredibly busy at lunch time, and the prices aren't that much cheaper than some of the truly great chinese restaurants. If you want good Chinese food, virtually any place would be better (or at least no worse). Pros: Inexpensive Cons: , busy parking lot more

One of my favorites! 5/8/2004

Great food! Can't get enough of that Mushu Pork! Always great service. Tables are perfect size to order anything you want, are well-spaced apart, and are very clean with white paper covers. Great for families, friends, and dates since it's not overcrowded. Occasionally, we've had to wait to be seated, but the wait was generally 5 minutes or less. Pros: Great Food, Served Quickly, Nice Atmosphere Cons: , always order a lot, and spend too much more
