My chimney was falling apart.The roofing co. I was using wouldn't roof my house until my chimney was fixed.I looked through the phonebook came across chimney tech set appt. They came out gave me a quote.I decided to go with them Ryan seemed real knowledgeable gave him 1/2 down.A few days later I was on the computer and thought I would google chimney tech.To my surprise I found some complaints.I thought to myself I should have checked them out first what did get into. Ater a few weeks Ryan called to set a time to rebuild my chimney.So I set a time to get the work done.He already had 1/2 my money so I had to go forward.Thinking to myself he's not getting the other 1/2 of my money unless I'm satisfied.Well when I got home that evening Ryan was packing up he said "everything went good".So I went around back expecting the worst. To my surprise it was amazingly better than I could have ever expected.Plus he even did extra because when he got it tore down he saw the flashing was bad so replaced and didn't even charge me a cent extra.Well I was happy to pay the balance and told him I would recommend him. I am glad I didn't read the reviews 1st .For not only did I get the best job done he also had the best price, too.I called 3 other companies after read his review to see if he over priced me.He didn't. Chimney Tech installed my liner in 2004.I have had no problems.They were hundres less than other companies and very polite.Ryan has swept our chimney every year since an we are very happy with them. more

I paid Chimney Tech to fix my chimney after a lightning strike damaged it. They installed a new metal liner and the first time I lit the fire the house became filled with smoke. After 4 unanswered calls, they finally came back and said they needed to install insulation. Four weeks later and another 6 unanswered calls and I have not heard from them. Not only did they leave my chimney in a life-threatening state but they charged an exorbitant amount of money for a very amateur job. They will never pick up the phone (it always goes to voicemail) and will never return calls. more
