Good day, it is mail for center in nyack, my mail-address was blacklisted like unnecessary info. \r thank you.\r \r Every child is unique and requires an individual approach, unfortunately my son did not get, despite my requests to give a little attention at first. Moreover very disappointed undiplomatic behavior of the administration in person. In your center a polite attitude and understanding of the situation comes to an end when it comes to the financial side. not a word was said about the child's condition. In the foreground is contract and timely payment of the contract. No one took into account the specifics of the situation. for me to visit your center was big experience of disbelief. Even banks take into account the human factor, and in child care inexperience and excessive confidence in the administration leads to stress and frustration. we are pleased to have been registered and are ready for all financial losses, the main thing - the development of moral and calm baby. complete disappointment caused no payment itself, but the reluctance, indifference to review the situation. no one has ever asked about the cause of the absence of my son, despite the fact that we were the new in the center. was a very bad feeling more

Hi \r \r Well I used to work there just this past year and I can tell you now because I'm no longer there- the food was left to ""defrost"" every night outside by the director and it was really hot in kitchen, they leave meatballs and chicken and feed it to the kids the next day- I complained but nothing was done-\r \r LG more

Children Of America in Nyack 2/5/2011

Both of my Children attend Children of America and all I can say is they are GREAT. My daughter is 5 Years old and has graduated from there and comes for Holiday breaks. My 4 month old has been there since he was 8 weeks old. I am very picky about who takes care of my children and have researched many different places and none of them top the West Nyack office. I pulled my daughter from her prior childcare and brought her here along with 3 other families and we all feel the same. I am surprised to read the review above and must say I find that hard to believe it. The Director is amazing she has a great heart and loves each and everyone of those kids. She is warm and loving and at the same time very professional. She handles situations very well. I have witnessed her hands on many times and she always takes care of matters the way it should be handled. You cant make everyone happy and believe me when I tell you she goes above and beyond ALL the time. I just hope that review does not change anyones thoughts in the center. You just have to go and see for yourself and take a tour. You will feel like you are at home they are very welcoming and loving it does not give a corporate felling at all what so ever. When we choose childcare for our children its about the facility and the people and knowing your child is in the best hands and not the money. To me it is worth the higher price for the best care and I assure you that Children of America provides that and more. I know my kids are in great hands when they are there. The curriculum is really good they are very structured and focus on good key points that Children need to grow. I would prefer a center that would concentrate more than outside play time. Last Summer my daughter was in Camp Wow and they had some amazing trips that they went on. They went to the pool twice a week and she learned how to swim. They went to Yankee Stadium and took a tour, The Liberty Science Center, Maritime Aquarium and many more. It was a great experience for her and the best part was she was able to learn how it is to ride a bus so when it was time for Kindergarten she had no fears going on the bus. As for my 4 month old he has grown and changed so much. He does hand painting any many other things that just amazes me or such a little guy. I just love the Center and have not come across one bad teacher hear and so far I haver had the pleasure of dealing with 7 different teachers and they were all amazing. I am looking forward to watching my son grow and Children of America more

A Negligent Corporate Set Up 10/2/2010

We just removed our 15 month old son from Children of America because he was being bitten by other children and the center was unable to efficiently handle the problem. After approximately 15 biting incident reports and being told over and over ""please be patient"", we saw no improvement and the director simply resorted to the phrase ""I'm sorry that you feel this way"" when we were upset. I later found out that the biting child was not suspended or shown any consequences as per policy. Meanwhile my son continued to be bitten. \r He had been in the center since he was 5 months old and while there are always growing pains, we did come across a few genuine and loving caregivers in the center and our son appeared to be happy there. However, the caregivers were always changing and when I would pick him up in the evening there would always be a different person who had just been switched into the room, so no one could answer our simple question – “How was his day today”. \r In the past few months the overall situation became worse in several ways. For example, my requests to use diaper rash cream were ignored until my son developed a rash was so severe it blistered. Also, throughout the summer the children were only going outside maybe 2-3 times a week. We also caught them lying to us on several occasions about the care given to our child (or NOT given I should say). Unfortunately this turned out to be a corporate center more concerned with collecting our money then nurturing our children and having his best interest in mind. more
