I had some wingback chairs that were in storage and given to me when my grandmother passed away. I called around for a few estimates and while ChemDry's quote was a bit higher than the others, the choice to go with ChemDry was an easy one. Kevin, the owner, personally talked to me and understood how personal this was and offered to personally clean them himself to assure best results. WOW.... they looked great! As a licensed Realtor for 35+ years, I have had the opportunity to use and evaluate several carpet cleaning businesses. My realty business emphasized bank repos and residential resales. I have probably seen it all, from minor spills and stains on carpets to major bio-hazmats (wear the bio-equipment and dispose of the carpets). When there was a carpet that I thought needed cleaning, I never hesitated to contact Kevin at Chem Dry. Kevin gave prompt and honest evaluations ranging from ""Let's do this..." to "Throw it out; the carpet is not worth the $$$ to try to save it." The carpet that I had was very dirty and the worker from Chem-Dry gave me several carpets to choose from. I ended up choosing the most expensive one but in the end I was satisfied with my choice because the carpet looks so lovely on my hardwood floor. I have 2 golden retrievers, a 3 year old and a 2 year old. Needless to say my carpets were horribly soiled. Chem dry cleaned them better than the other companies I tried!!! There were spots( red juice) that the other guys couldn't (or didn't) get out that chem dry took care of no problem. KEvin was great too and really took his time. I felt like he cared about my carpets as if they were in his own home. I will use Chem dry over the other guys any day!! Thank you so much! more

They misrepresented what they would charge, arrived and charged an additional $86 and wouldn't negotiate after I made a point of giving accurate information to get my bid. Worst customer service I've seen in a very long time. RESPONSE FROM Chem-Dry of Colorado Springs: Customer stated she had no concerns in her carpet and that she only wanted a Touchup cleaning making it clear she did not want to pay for our higher-end cleaning options of Elite and Competitor services. On the phone we estimated approximately 1000 square feet, stairs and a gallon of pre-treat for traffic, spots and spills. Per company policy she was informed that we would measure and establish the exact size and price upon arrival and that she would be charged for actual size. She requested we remove the pre-treat cost on the work order attempting to keep the cost as low as possible. Upon arrival, she had 1450 square feet with some noticeable traffic wear and soil, more stairs, a large plant spill and a potential oil spot. She demanded we clean the extra areas and spills at no additional cost or she would find someone else. We left without doing any work or collecting any charges. Do to individual perception and varying home sizes, we discuss pricing and changes before we start so there are no surprises at the end of the job. This gives people the option of adjusting the services or not having us do the work. more

I had a serious problem with cat urine and Kevin worked really hard and completely got rid of the odor and stain. The carpet was new and I was very worried that the only solution was to replace, but now I don't have to. I'm so appreciative of the work done. more

This is the second house we have been in in Colorado Springs; we have been here 9 years. The first house we rented was a lovely home with lots of carpeting. Our dog was sick and had an accident; I was really concerned that the carpet would be ruined. I didn't want anything to happen with the carpet. I called Chem-Dry of Colorado Springs late in the afternoon, and they told me what to do until they got there. What they said really saved the carpet. They cleaned it, and it looked like new. I really valued their information. Recently, in our new house, some Windex fell over and discolored the carpet. When I noticed it, the spot was green. I poured water over it, as per their instructions with the last stain, and called them. I left a message, and they came promptly to get the stain up. It was a difficult stain. I have been a long time customer, and I value the fact that they are flexible and can come out to clean the carpet promptly. They will also tell me how to work on it in the meantime. I think they have been very helpful with that immediate feedback. more

I have used Chem-Dry for both carpet and furniture cleaning for 3-4 years and after cycling through a few other companies prior to that, I won't use anyone else. In the case of emergencies (like your dog is sick from eating something awful outside!) they find a way to come almost immediately and have never failed to eliminate the stain and odor completely. We have a two story home with wall to wall carpet in the majority of the house. Even with 2 kids, a dog, a cat and some other small critters, you would never know all of those mess makers live there, and that's due to Chem-Dry. more

Prior to cleaning the carpet, the technician discussed the carpet cleaning process with me and answered all my questions about the products he was going to use. What impressed me about this cleaning process, was the attention to detail that was displayed from start to finish. Besides cleaning the carpet, the Dry Chem technician also focused on troublesome areas, specifically carpet spots, cleaning the two inch carpet edging along the stairwell border and heavily trafficked carpet pathways. I found Academy ChemDry in the yellow pages. Upon seeing their ad saying they use 'green' chemicals, I knew they were the ones that I wanted to clean my carpets. A real-live person answered the phone! How refreshing that was! They were able to schedule me on the day & time that I first requested, but called the next day and was able to reschedule for the following morning. They showed up 'on time' and was a delight to work with. After talking with the technicans, I discovered that since I had never had my carpets cleaned (from 9 to 20 yrs.-depending on the carpet), I had been causing my family a huge disservice. I had been making us SICK! Yep, sick! They told me that by not cleaning my carpets every 6 mos. to a year that the dirt, rocks, sand, dust mites, flaky skin particles, etc. had been embedded into the fibers. No, vacuuming did not remove enough of these 'critters' to make my carpets safe, health wise. They use equipment of the highest quality and boy, did they prove themselves right! I was amazed by the technology they have available and with ChemDry using 'green' chemicals, I knew that not only were my carpets getting cleaned, but my family would be healthier in the process. I also had heard that using a 'truck mounted unit' was the best way to get a cleaner carpet and Academy ChemDry proved that statement correct. My carpets were not soaking wet and dried within a matter of 1-3 hrs. and not only were clean, but smelled good too! Since I am allergic to all types of perfume smells, I never got a headache from their green cleaning solution. I am a firm belivier of "you get what you pay for"! Was Academy ChemDry the less expensive company in town? NO! But, I wanted QUALITY and RELIABILY over another company coming in and doing a mediocore job, for less money, over 'the job done right the first time'. I got just what I wanted from Academy ChemDry. They wore company uniforms and I felt safe with them being in my home. Now days, you can never be to careful of inviting strangers into your home. Thank you Academy ChemDry for a job well done. I called Chem Dry of Colorado Springs with an emergency and spoke with Leslie on a Monday morning. My roommate had been swinging a King Size permanent marker and didn't notice that the ink was flying out of the tip all over the place. He hit the ceiling, the walls, and my $8000 custom hand-made Egyptian cotton couch. I had lost all faith and made what I thought would be a frivolous call to a carpet cleaner. Boy was I wrong. Leslie helped calm me down on the phone (I was freaking out over my couch) and she told me that she would send Kevin (the owner of the company) to see what he could do. Kevin showed up 10 minutes earlier than he quoted. He came inside and saw what happened and then pulled me aside and told me that he's never seen a stain that bad in his entire career. He said that it would take a miracle to get those spots out and another miracle for them not to "ghost" (meaning they would show back up, I believe). Well Kevin must be some sort of miracle worker, because 6 months later, there are still no spots! He spent 2 hours doing intense spot cleaning on my couch (probably about 100 spots in total) and then gave it a thorough cleaning with his truck mounted system. I can confidently say (and I'm usually not one to give any sort of compliment) that Kevin is a true master of his craft. Words can not express how thankful I am to Kevin for solving my crisis with no problems at all. I also had him come back a few weeks ago to clean all of my carpets. I've never seen the carpets at my house look that good. Seriously, I was speculative that he may had actually re-carpeted my house while I was gone. I was very worried about some high traffic areas, and you can't tell that there was ever a high traffic area in my house. I can confidently recommend Kevin and all of Chem Dry of Colorado Springs for any of your carpet or upholstery cleaning needs. As far as I'm concerned, they should be the only carpet and upholstery cleaner in Colorado Springs. You may pay less with other cleaners, but please take it from my experiences and past mistakes, you get what you pay for.
