In Short
Founded in 1898, Chautauqua Park was created as a summer escape for traveling Americans, complete with dining, entertainment and educational activities. Today, the original buildings host more than a million visitors annually. Cottages and lodges can be rented for days or weeks at a time. In warmer months, folks stroll through the gardens and crowds attend the Summer Concert Series. In the winter, outdoors enthusiasts plow through snowshoe trails and make angels in the snow.
