I booked this hotel on the internet after reading other reviews. I can heartily recommend this hotel which is not a typical hotel! The Chateau made our stay very pleasant, the room was wonderful, spacious, quiet, and clean; the king-sized bed was great with the pillow top mattress, and everything was clean. The breakfast buffet was good, nothing special but plentiful and fresh. But what was the best was the staff; they were extremely friendly and helpful, smiled and greeted us by name. From the manager to the desk clerk to the housekeeper they did everything they could to make our stay outstanding. I had only booked one night but we stayed an extra two nights and then came back and stayed two more nights before flying home. The hotel was about 10 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes to downtown Baton Rouge.\r more

This is a small hotel in the downtown area and is very well kept with a terrific staff. The room was large with a very large restroom and was clean and nicely decorated. It was also handicapped accessible. The decor was old French style and very attractive. All of the rooms open to the lobby area and a nice breakfast is included. The room was very quiet and comfortable and we would stay there again. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The price was very reasonable.\r more

I chose this hotel based on other reviews, the photos and its close proximity to the Convention Center in Baton Rouge. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find a beautiful rose garden out front to greet me. Inside we were greeted by a smiling Alexia. She was very helpful during our stay on several occasions. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. Having a suite with an M/W and small fridge was a plus and so was the Sony HD TV. Wi-Fi was a bit slow but I was able to log on in the business center and print out a few things. All the rooms open up onto a nice courtyard which gives it a southern feel. They serve a simple southern breakfast but only till 930. Also the local coffee; Community Coffee is available all day and night The only concern I had was it being very dark in the room at night and I thought a night light in the vanity area would be a plus to find your way to the bathroom. I noted that on my survey and thanked the manager personally on my way out. This is a nice hotel with a helpful staff and a good value for your money. I booked 4 rooms for our group and everyone thanked me for making such a good choice. We will stay with them next time we're in town.\r more

We switched to this hotel during our stay leaving another very dirty and rundown hotel. We were very pleased with this one. Hotel staff was very nice and the hotel is VERY clean. Breakfast was very good--eggs, sausage, waffles, coffee, juice, etc. You cannot go wrong with this one.\r more

My husband and I have stayed at five different Days Inn from Florida, Georgia, etc. and a Best Western in Kentucky. They ALL should use the Days Inn Joplin as an example of what a hotel should be. The rooms, the lobby, the staff and the breakfast were 1st class. Thank you.\r more
