What a movie 4/11/2006

My husband and I went to see the NASCAR movie at the Imax theatre in Tallahassee...it was an incredible experience. It was like being front row at the race and actually getting to see in the garages without having to pay an arm and a leg at the race. The only thing that I didn't enjoy about this experience, is that the movie was SO LOUD. I actually wanted some ear plugs. I looked around the theatre and there were other people besides me cringing at the noises. I would not trade this theatre for a regular though and I am sure had we not been watching stock cars and listening to the roaring of the engines, the volume would have been just right. more

Great Experience 4/9/2006

My children and I love IMAX. The huge screen and surround sound really add to the movie going experience. We saw a Titanic documentary there last summer, and it was incredible. You could hear the boat creaking, and it was as if you were actually on the Titanic itself. We also saw The Lion King, and it was much more enjoyable at IMAX. more

Whoa! 8/26/2005

The IMAX Theatre is the most gigantic theatre in all of Tallahassee. It destroys movie theatres such as AMC and Governor's. The Experience is as unique and powerful as the technology behind it. Images of immense size and striking clarity. Sound so clear and deep you can feel it. Giant screens that immerse you in new worlds. And specially designed theatres that transport you there. Only IMAX state-of-the-art technology creates The IMAX Experience. The only bad thing I would say is that you can't watch newly released movies or whatnot but more documentary like movies such as "The Abyss Deep" and "Everest." Yet watching those great films are absolutely breathtaking! more
