As I stood staring at my lopsided garage door barely hanging on the rails while my phone was opened to Click2Houston's radar, I knew I had to scramble fast or everything in the garage was going to get REALLY wet. I had used Certified Overhead Garage Door two times prior (once for minor spring-related issue, and once for a new garage door opener), so I called and explained my situation. Not only did he fix the door, he dealt with my 9 yr old asking a million questions during the process. And did so wonderfully. He had the door back on the rails and tightened up in a matter of 20 minutes with no extra damage reported (thank goodness!). The first time I called, I had shut my garage door with the back window of my Navigator open. Needless to say that didn't go well as the garage door caught the window wiper on the way down, sensed it had hit something and started back up. After the window shattered all over everything a piece of glass got stuck somewhere in the garage door opener and it would close. He COULD have sold me a new opener, but he thought it still had some life in it. That was over 5 years ago and it's still working great! My neighbor's door (recently) all but fell off the rails and she called COGD as well. Same repairman came out and he remembered all the silly things that had happened at my house.
