Eating at Cattlemens 3/27/2006

We've tried various places in Redding and we like Cattlemens the best for steaks. Yes, it is a chain restaurant, but with that you also get consistency in quality. I liked the flavorful New York strip steak which was marinated just right and was juicy and so delicious. The service was good with a conscientious wait staff. It may be difficult finding something for your little ones to eat there although there is a children's menu, unless they like red meat, so you might want to pack something along. Other than that, I highly recommend Cattlemens for their yummy steaks! more

Bring on the RIBS! 10/26/2005

Oh my gosh Cattlemen's have the most delicious RIBS around and the steaks are so tender and tasty. The staff are nice and the place is clean. The only complaint I have is they really push for the 'extras' which all cost more. Beware of the extras for your baked spuds or order the twice baked they do cost more and the service people will only tell you if you ask. Overall this is one of our favorite dinner places in Redding. PROS: FOOD is EXCLLENT and you get a full plate! CONS: Paying for all the little extras for the spuds more

  • Founded in 1968, Cattlemens Restaurants is a casual and family-owned steakhouse chain. It operates more than five outlets throughout California and provides a range of appetizers, desserts and wines. Cattlemens Restaurants also provides catering services for various social events, including bridal showers, reception parties, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings and business seminars. Its menu includes a variety of salads, pasta, sandwiches, hot dogs, buffalo wings, shrimps, steaks, cheesecakes and ice creams.
