If you are looking to buy stuff that was not taken out of pawn in time, you will want to watch prices here. There are very well know to mark up items more than if you bought them ...

Beware count and examine your money before leaving. I sold them some watches that I no longer used they counted the money out on the counter I scooped it up put in my pocket and when I got home realized that one of the hundred dollar bills they gave me was counterfeit called and went back down there just to be told I'm out of luck. I've filled a complaint with treasury department hope they get sacked with paper work that would be the best hundred bucks I've ever spent. more

Not good. I had some DVDs to sell them. I called first and the dumb lady who answered the phone did NOT fill me in on everything. These were 6 disc TV seasons and the store only pays $2 a pop for that. I would have expected more for 6 discs. I told her these were TV episodes but she didn't tell me that. Also the guy refused to buy anything as the rule was ""at least $10 for payment."" She also did not tell me this either. Seemed like she wanted to get off the phone really fast as well. Hmmm...wonder why? more

Great place for jewelry and guns--some stuff is new for full markup--other stuff is used--both eyes open. No outlet is ever going to be the lowest price on everything. i think every pawnshop is asking too much for little camcorders that are used is a general observation i have. They have always treated us well and my wife & I enjoy shopping there--BUY LOCAL more

I took them a very old wood carving of a drunk man. They told me that it was called a whistler, and it was made in Germany. They brought out a key and wound it up. I didn't know it needed a key and that it needed to be wound up. The carved man began to whistle like a bird and move his head. They offered me $600 and I took it. I feel they were honest because I didn't know what my uncle left me, and they could have bought it from me for $50. They knew I didn't know what it was. I give them credit for being honest with me. I am so happy I wanted to tell other people. more

Everyone else offered me a lot less then Cashbox and I really need the money. I was treated with respect and will use them again. more

I will take my business elsewhere 8/27/2011

I called Cashbox Jewelry & Pawn to see if they carried a certain type of gunpowder for reloading my 40 S&W. The employee who answered the phone was rude, unhelpful, and seemed like I was bothering him. I will never step foot inside that store again. more
