A Great Help 8/8/2011

My Sister was getting married in Vegas when I realized I had forgotten the charger to my camera and the battery was dead! I looked up local shops, called Casey's and thank goodness they had my charger in stock! They put it on hold for me, and when I went to pick it up they were able help me right away so I could get back to the festivities for my sister. I am so happy I found Casey's! more

Good Selection 8/3/2011

They has the lens I needed for my camera and the staff was helpful and quick. I may have paid a little more than I wanted, but this was the only place I could find what I needed. I had a good experience and will go back if I need to. more

convenient location! 7/22/2011

Fair prices and a chance to pick up everything I forgot, what more could you ask for. We would have no photos for our scrap book if it wasnt for a little camera shop in the middle of the desert. more

Good company 6/29/2011

I was just in vegas and had planned on taking a lot of pictures but I had some problems and had forgotten some stuff at home. I stopped into Caseys and found what I needed. The sales staff really knew their stuff and I was very impressed. The next time Im in town ill definitely stop in. more

Nice Shop. 6/20/2011

I came here for some advice on a new camera since I am new to the hobby. They were nice and showed me all the different cameras and what each one is better suited for. I didn’t feel stupid for not knowing much and left having learned a lot more. I ended up buying a nice digital and will be back the next time too. more

Great Experience 5/25/2011

They had everything I needed and I had a great experience here... I didn't expect to receive 5 star service but I actually did. They were kind and helpful in assisting me to purchase the correct products and equipment. more

Worst Customer Service Ever ! 12/30/2010

Worst Business I have ever dealt with. Price marked on item as well as box not honored. Even though 3 employees confirmed price of item until I went to pay, then it was suddenly $142 more than marked. They said too bad, the higher price is correct. Wow, they win for worst customer service ever ! I will never deal with them again, Old Mr. Casey would be rolling over in his grave if he saw what they did to his store..... more

Horrible 8/20/2008

I'm assuming the little guy with gray hair, who was working the register is the manager. He couldn't have been less interested with anything I had to ask and basically ignored me so he could refill the stapler with staples. When I went to the camera counter, this Japanese kid who's about 6'3"", 350 lbs and about as dumb as a brick came out to help me. He just stared at me like he had a lobotomy and I couldn't help waiting for the slobber to drip from his mouth! Whenever I asked a question he had a slow, one word answer....yeeees or nooooo, never breaking his retarded stare. Hey Casey's...news flash.... with the emergence of online camera stores, which destroy every price you have on every item you sell, you think it might be time to renew your thinking...or lack thereof? I feel I'm writing this in vane, since these guy's day's are numbered and their fate is diminishing by the second. I'm sure I'll see Mr.Manager feeding the fish at a local pet shop in a year or so. Pros: The light out front works Cons: Has a staff that's consistant with a dead end, low paying job. more

great selection and helpful staff 4/25/2008

i have been a customer of caseys cameras since the 90's when they sold darkroom gear-- the guys there are very knowledgeable about just about everything-- recently when i was on the fence about 2 different digital camera products i stopped in to caseys and one of their staff was very helpful and patient in weighing the pros and cons of each lens without trying to get a quick sale- in the end i walked out with the lens that was right for me- i will continue to drive past several camera stores to buy my products at caseys. more

Best service in Las Vegas, hands down! 3/25/2008

\r I've been buying from Casey's Camera since 2002, never had a problem! \r The staff are always friendly, always helpful, and if something's wrong-they\r don't give me any crap...they just get it done! Pros: great customer service, knowledgable staff, great products. Cons: too far from my house, sometimesd more

Don't go there 3/18/2008

It is really too bad that the store offers such poor customer service with such high prices. I agree with hansholbrook so I will not goo back Cons: Too many to list more

Great knowagable service for all photographers 3/11/2008

I had a few problems with my Canon camera and flash, I think the conversation lasted a good 1/2 hour I came out with my questions answered with out being talked down to or made to feel foolish for my lack of knowlage, a refreshing change! \r I have also bought a fair amount of equipment from Casey's over the years and have always had great after sales service from the staff there, this is how retail should be. Pros: Staff knowlage and helpfullness more

Go anywhere else first. 3/9/2008

Casey's Camera is located rather close to my house and when I first discovered them, I was excited. I have probably been there about 5-6 times now and only one was positive. For the most part when I go, the workers are condescending, trying to get me to purchase things that I don't want and get an attitude when I don't. I keep telling myself that I will never go back, and I think I am finally ready to take my advice. The biggest problem is one guy with dark hair probably in his 40s, who appears to have a very high opinion of himself and of little else. Also the red-haired sales girl is very pushy with materials that you either don't want or need. It seems like the general store policy is to recommend to you whatever they feel like it and try to pressure you through guilt or shame into buying it. If you want good service, go to Sahara Camera on Eastern and Sahara, they actually provide student discounts there. Casey's told me that the discount is already worked into their prices. You can also try bhphotovideo or adorama on the internet, which are also good alternatives, even with shipping you'll save money over Casey's and retain your self respect intact. Pros: If it is raining outside and you go in, you probably won't get wet. Cons: Customer service, prices, hours more

Independent Store, Helpful Staff, Professional Equipment 2/24/2008

Coming from New York I have been very spoiled with photo shops. Coming to Vegas it was slim pickins. I did find 2 stores that really took care of me. Casey's has been my place to go for over 15 years. I read the other comments about this place and had to really wonder who these folks are. I've worked retail so I know how it is. I'll agree sometimes they don't have what I need but since I've been in the industry for more than 20 years I know how it is to wait for product. Some of the staff is young and will admit if they don't know to ask. Yeah I'll admit to buying online, hell who doesn't these days. And they did have staff problems but for the most part those folks are gone. What amazed me though is when they don't have a certain item they call their competitors which is the other store I was mentioning, Sahara Camera. Too many place don't do that. I wish they had another store on my side of town. Tough business to be in but they manage to float. Pros: Professional equipment and good hours Cons: One location, sometimes short staffed more

Never experience rude staff. 2/23/2008

I've purchased camera gear at Casey's and was ALWAYS treated well by the staff! Whenever I've called in with a question about equipment, they were more then happy to help me out. I have nothing against Sahara Camera, but Casey's has better prices across the board! I live about a block and half from Sahara Camera and still end up at Casey's for my purchase because I get the same product for a better price and Casey's does in house camera and lens repair at a very reasonable price with top notch work....Sahara doesn't do repair. Pros: Great selection and pricing! Cons: Isn't closer to my house :) more

Horrible customer service 1/16/2008

I called to find out if they have a studio three light kit. Very rude employee answered the phone and after asking if they had one his response was, ""I really recommend you come down."" That was the purpose of my call. I don't want to come down if you don't have one. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I have experienced this with them. I remember getting the ""inferior look"" one time in the store when asking about light stands. They have good stuff but it isn't worth the hassle of going in or calling. I will be going to Sahara Camera or ordering online from now on. Pros: They have good stuff Cons: Employees are rude and unhelpful more

Very Competent & Helpful Staff, Good Selection 4/12/2007

This is a good camera store. My experience was very positive in that the staff that I dealt with was knowledgeable, helpful and they provided solutions. I HATE going into a camera store and when I ask a question about a product, everyone working their gives me a free dumb look. Not the case here at Casey's! They stock items that other dealers can't even spell. And talk about a VERY cool selection of pre-owened equipment! When I drove up to the store, I was very excited to see that they advertise the kind of equipment working professionals like me need. Go inside and it is a breath of fresh air compared to the dingy photography shops that are going out of business all over Las Vegas. Want a top notch light meter? Check! Need a real light set up for a shoot? Check! How about that ever elusive Tilt + Shift lens for your Nikon that no one EVER has? Check! And since is it mint pre-owned, it is VERY reasonable.\r \r The key here is that they got it. They pay to stock it. And if you are tired of putting up with the big New York photo houses over the internet and tired of the GAMES they play, this is the best place to go. Period. I am so glad I found this place and they made a client for life this past Tuesday. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. If you need a point & shoot for vacation or if you need an H3D, this is where you will want to do business. Pros: Great inventory, helpful service, rare finds Cons: It is far from my house...but I still drive there! more

Rude Salesman,High Prices 4/9/2007

Casey's seems to be the only real camera store in las vegas if you want to avoid the Ritz chains.Lots of lenses in stock but at a high premium! I was after a particular lens and drove across town after being told it was in stock and it wasn't. When I returned a week later to purchase the lens I asked what would happen if there was a problem with the lens and the reply was ""Hey man I can sell this lens all day long"". I'm willing to pay higher prices to shop at brick and mortar stores but why should I shell out an extra $100 to be treated like this?????\r I will never return to Casey's next time its mail order-- cheaper, faster, returnable, and no jerks! Pros: Large selection of lenses on hand Cons: High prices and obnoxious salesman more

Small store, needs attitude change, NOT for video. 2/17/2007

I had some lighting needs for pro video, staff not very helpful at all. They didn't want to refer me to anyone else that might be able to help. Attitude problems... Videographers, don't waste your time here. Pros: OK for some photography needs Cons: small store, not much inventory, not much at all for videographers more

Great service and tradition (especially for Las Vegas) 2/11/2007

Casey's Camera is a Las Vegas institution, and is a hidden gem for local photo pros and educators. The staff is very knowledgable about traditional processing, and the newest digital toys. I highly recommend this store for the education, and the polite and helpful professionals working behind the counter.\r \r The only con (really a pro?): The store is tidy, but humble looking- all substance, no Vegas flash more
