Don't be put off by the plastic ladies or bling - the food is great and the people-eatching even better! Try the salad with fresh buffalo mozarella as a meal or an app (it's HUGE...

Okay, if you're in the Miami area you just have to visit Bal Harbour shops. For heaven's sake don't buy anything, just go for the people watching, which is best done at Carpaccio. The food is pretty good and the service is efficient, but the clientele......what a hoot.\r \r Women walking around with their fake this and that. Men sitting there looking pompous and pretending not to stare at the this and that. It feels like a different world, which for me is the point of travel: to experience things I don't normally experience. more

This is an awesome restaurant if you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine. Started off with a crisp and tasty misto salad, followed by fabulous pizza from their wood burining stove. To top it off I tried the rigatoni al pomodoro. It was absolutely subliime and served perfectly al dente with a wonderful hint of basil and delicious tomatoes and spices. Highly recommended if you!re looking for delicious Italian food. more

Sempre disputado na hora do almoço. more

Not real italian food, plastic. If you want to be seen great place, i like to eat if you want to see me call me or better get a life! Rude and people bumb into you. Go to Specchio a few blocks down and you will get the real italian treat, real pasta and real service. Carpaccio, please....una merda! more

We had dinner there last Saturday and had a great time. We got there around 9pm and were able to get a seated outside after a 5 minute wait.\r \r We started with an assortment of Antipasta's and they were all delicious (especially Caprese). We had the risotto dolce vita and then a steak with tomatoes and mushrooms. Everything was prepared very well. \r \r The wine list is nice, not way overpriced like other restaurants.\r \r If you are headed to Bal Harbour for a day of shopping you definitely need to try it. more

Food is good, not great. Overpriced for what it is. Definitely a euro-trash type of place where people want to be seen. more

Best Veal chop and pasta. Best to sit inside cause people gawk at diners sitting outside. Very rude too, will bump you and at their prices, nothing like enjoying the food without the outside hustle more

Rude and greedy waiter 1/31/2010

The whole experience was spoiled by the treatment I received. it was my 3rd and last time at that place. Never again, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. I don't need the waiter coming back with the tip, saying it wasn't enough. Now they won't be getting anything as they've just lost few customers. Pros: Nice area Cons: Customer service more

good food, good location 8/26/2008

this is a good restaurant to go to if you want good food in a nice atmosphere. Just be ready to deal with some of the rich and snooty clients. But the service is pretty good, and the menu should satisfy any appetite. more

rude waiter 2/3/2008

We had dinner on Sunday February 3, waiter was Milton D, we had to ladies from Italy as our guest. The total was $ 138.80 and I added a tip of $ 18.70 on my credit card charge. The waiter came back telling me the following: Sir, the tip is not added here, you are supposed to put at least $ 21 in this case or has something not been OK? I added some cash.I go to this place very often as I live near by and many times with guest too, since nearly ten years. I never had such a rude behaviour of a waiter in any restaurant ever! more

just another Italian chain 7/5/2007

The only reason Carpaccio is still in business is because it is located in Bal Harbor shops. Pros: average food Cons: a big social scene more

TOO CROUDED 1/29/2006

OK, I know its a very popular place but come on! People are seated on top of each other, it feels like you are sharing a table with 20 other people around you. Once seated you absolutely have to stay put since you have to ask all the people around you to get up with you in order to get in and out of your table. The food is expensive and very average definitely not worth the price!!! Waiters are nice, they try to make the best out of this crowded situation. People are very snobby, lots of plastic and bling (and not in a tasteful way, just all out there). Overall experience was horrible, I would never go back there again!!! Pros: staff Cons: crowd, people, food more

a big rush 1/27/2006
