I use to take my Toyota Highlander to the Toyota dealer for my maintance and I was not happy with their high cost. Two of my neighbors recommended Car Clinic and have started taking my car there and have been very happy. The staff is very helpful and friendly and my car gets excellent attention at a fair price. Erika works the desk and she is always cheery and their mechanics, especially Tibor, always know what they are doing. Last week, I had noticed that someone had hit my front bumper and left without leaving me any information. I took my car to a body shop and asked them if they could just "pop" the dent out. They said they couldn't "pop" the dent out, instead the whole bumper had to be taken off at a cost of $700. I don't have that sort of money and decided I would just have to drive around with the dent. Later that day, I took my car to the Car Clinic for the 60,000 mile check-up which I felt I had to do to keep my car running correctly, it's my only car and I depend on it. When I came back to pick it up I had noticed that the dent on the bumper was "popped" out by Tibor, I was thrilled. He had done it because he hated to see the car look bad. Any other car shop would then be asking me for more money and Tibor did it just out of the goodness of his heart. I didn't know there were such kind, unselfish business people left on this Earth. Car Clinic definitely goes beyound the call of duty for their clients, this is one client who is very grateful. I will continue to recommend the shop to all my neighbors and any one who lives in the area. more

Car Clinic is my dream car repair shop. Tibor and his assistants have always done excellent work on my cars for the last 15? years? . . . ever since he took over the business. The repairs have always been done exactly right; they have worked hard to keep my costs down, helping me decide when some repairs could be deferred; they are punctual with their work, completing repairs pretty much as expected; and they have gotten me out of a couple of really tough jams when I had a sudden emergency and I REALLY needed to have my car as I was on-call for a birth. (The icing on the cake is that Car Clinic is an easy walk from anywhere in the Old Mountain View Neighborhood, so you don't have to worry about getting a shuttle ride either way.) more

Many years ago, in the 1990s, I had a tire explode, and a tow truck came and took me to The Car Clinic. I talked to the people there and really liked them, and I have been going there ever since. They are very efficient and know what they are doing. Also, the price is right. I have gone to them for both lube and oil as well as engine work on my cars. I have been going to The Car Clinic for 10 years and have no complaints. They maintain and repair 5 trucks for my business as well as my personal car. They do the repair work correctly the first time so, once it is fixed, you do not have to bring it back. In terms of price, I do not even shop around anymore because I trust The Car Clinic and do not question their integrity. The Car Clinic tells you what you need to pay attention to and fix immediately, and what might be a potential problem in 6 or 7 months. I just moved to northern California from Miami and had to get a lot of repairs. I was worried because I'm a single gal and when many auto mechanics see me coming they see me as fresh meat -- and not in a good way. They figure I'm an idiot and start making up stuff and charging me for repairs I don't need. In had a trusted mechanic in Miami and I never thought I'd find one here. But...I had some great work at Dunn's Auto Body and they recommended the Car Clinic in Mountain View. I was VERY impressed by the Car Clinic. In fact, they're even better than my old mechanic! The mechanic, Tibor, was painstakingly thorough and solved two big problems even my old mechanic couldn't figure out. This guy knows his stuff! I thought I needed new brakes because the guy who installed my new tires last month at a tire dealer told me I needed new front brakes. Tibor said my brakes were fine and no where close to needing replacement. Erica, the office manager, was very friendly and helpful; she drove me home and picked me up and spent hours fighting with my insurance company. She got them to pay for most of it, bless her. They were fairly priced and had a lot of integrity. I was very happy and I'm very picky about service.
