For a free breakfast it was great! I don't expect hot food at a continental breakfast. Plenty of options to get us filled up and ready to go to Disneyland. Though the seating area is large, it did fill up every day we were there and some people had to take their food back to their rooms. more

There were enough selections to please us 5/20/2011

A fellow was handing out coupons for the buffet breakfast at $6.99, so we decided to try it. There were enough selections to please us. The bread pudding turned out to be my favorite. I tried a number of the other selections and enjoyed those too: scrambled eggs, fresh fruit salads, oatmeal etc. The ""downside"" was that they charged you for drinks and I think those were around $2.87 each. But I was happy with water, so I kept the cost down. more

For a reasonably priced lunch close to Disneyland, Captain Kids works. We actually liked it more than we were expecting. I did notice alot of bad reviews so please keep in mind that it is a buffet. Not the best food you have ever had but not terrible as previously described more

The service was friendly and the waitress kept our table cleared of used plates. I would go here again for a quick fill-me-up before Disneyland. It seems a good value for the price and I like being able to sample a bit of everything. more

There were many hot breakfast choices 5/9/2011

We tried this buffet restaurant for breakfast one morning after spending a previous morning in a very crowded Denny's with a long wait for food. Everything was clean. There were many hot breakfast choices, most that you would expect, and some that you would not. I'd never tried huevos rancheros before and thought if was very good (fried eggs with a mild mexican type sauce and melted cheese on top). It was really nice just to pop in with the little one, dish up a hot breakfast plate immmediately, eat our fill, and head out to Disneyland. It was all you can eat for $7.99. If it had not been our last morning in Anaheim, I would have eaten there again. more

It was a great value buffet with loads of food to choose 5/9/2011

We used Captain Kidds buffet twice during our visit to Anaheim this August. Once was for lunch during our Disney visit and the other for a supper after another day out. Some of the reviews must be from people who expect an awful lot for 9 dollars! It was a great value buffet with loads of food to choose from and massively better than the overpriced stuff in Disneyland. For us (Mum Dad and two teens) on a holiday from Great Britain, it was really good. The staff in there were fine too. No complaints here! more

We were always seated quickly and we felt the staff were professional and approachable. The food is generally of a perfectly acceptable quality given the price and there is a good selection (I particularly liked the orange chicken). Our 6 year old really liked the build your own burger bar. There were some good desserts. The soda type drinks (coloured lemonades recommended) have free refills and staff are quick to refill them when getting low without having to ask. Tables are cleared quickly and we can see why they use plastic plates which didn't bother us at all. It is open all day. more

very convenient location 5/4/2011

Like many others we were headed for MacDonalds on Harbour when we came across the big $8.69 Captain Kidds buffet sign and decided to try it out. They have a very convenient location across the road from the Disneyland entrance which is a big plus. more

The service was great 5/2/2011

If you're heading to Disneyland, this place is a ""must see."" It's directly across the street from Disneyland and the kids went crazy over the all-you-can-eat buffet. They had burgers and pizza and then made another trip for corn dogs. The self-serve ice cream was a HUGE hit! My husband and I left stuffed after piling our plate with ribs, fish, chicken and much more. The service was great and the price very reasonable. We will definitely be back! more

would happily visit again 4/28/2011

On our trip to Disneyland we ate at this restaurant a number of times. The kids really loved it, especially the buffet with pizza and the ice cream and cakes. Vacationing on a budget we thought this was an excellent value and returned more than once. We thought the employees were pleasant and the food exceptionally good for the price. I was pleased with the patio seating and the service there, enjoyed the fire works. I felt the place was reasonably clean, (spotless bathrooms) and would happily visit again. more

On a recent visit to Disneyland, my family of four dined at Captain Kidd's on two occasions...I found the food and the price to be of good value for a family on a fixed budget...I enjoyed each of the items I had off the buffet and my children, who are usually picky eaters, enjoyed the fare too...I found the restaurant to be clean and presented well...The servers we had were attentive and hospitable and I left gratuity at the conclusion of the meal more

Friendly Staff 4/25/2011

""December 12 2009 I was Hungry From Being on the Metrolink and Getting up at 4 in the morning and it was raining I dont drive so I take the bus to the metrolink. Low and behold I find a resturaunt right next to Disneyland Resort for my Disney Day. Clean Inviting and warm as well as Friendly The People on Here The Kvetchers Have no Idea How much this place is Delicious and Family Friendly. And Cheap It used to be 7.99 but recently got more pricey. It Might not look like much. But for some people Friendly Staff If your a regular they take your coat and They Know Exactly What you want. My Favorite is the Bread pudding and the Corn Beef Hash I will Come Again Hungry. Just Try it for size Dave is the Man with the master plan and is the Manager I will keep coming Back as long as this Place is still open. Might I add That this fills you up for the Day and Makes you Stick it To Disneyland Food"" more

The orange chicken was to die for 4/25/2011

Took some out of town family here last week. Saw the banner out front and thought we'd give it a try. Loved the selection of food. The orange chicken was to die for and the kids could not stop helping themselves to the pizza and corn dogs, not to mention the self serve ice cream. We ate until we were stuffed. Bread pudding was my favorite. Definitely worth the money! more

The restaurant is clean and well maintained. You can't BEAT the price. You'd be lucky to get 2 small bottles of water in Disneyland for the price of an entire meal at Captain Kidds. The food was very good and the service was excellent. more

Great Food 4/19/2011

We chose to eat from the buffet and on the night we went they served fried chicken, enchiladas, mashed potatoes and gravy, filet of sole, orange chicken, a delicious medley of onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and shrimp and a host of different salads and deserts. They also served pizza which thrilled our kids. My teenage daughter NEVER eats fish but she at the filet of sole at Captain Kidds and even commented about how good it was. more
