Great Chinese Food 3/30/2011

I have moved from Oregon and have been away for a long time. I started eating at Canyon Pearl when I was around 16. Please do not do the math, but needless to say, it has been 21 years since I been away. I miss their FOOD! Everytime I get the chance to visit family, Canyon Pearl is on my list. I am not sure if the cooks have changed, but for as long as I can remember, and everytime I visit, the food has always been great. I cannot wait until I get to go back to visit family. more

best since I can remember 1/2/2007

I am 18 years old and I have been going to this restaurant since I was 10 years old. I used to hate Chinese food, but this place is amazing. I go there with my family for my birthday dinner every year. They always remember us and the service is perfect. I'm going there for my Senior year Winter formal and I'm sure it will be awesome. Worst service I have ever had 10/3/2006

The overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke when we walked in the door should have been our indicator to leave. However, we joined the other 2 groups in the dining room and waited more than 15 minutes to be asked if we were ready to order. In that time we heard one group send their salmon back because it was bad and the other group sent their food back because it wasn't what they ordered. At this point we should have walked out but we FINALLY got our food and it wasn't bad but wasn't anything special either. It took equally as long to be brought our check. All around poor service, mediocre food, and terrible atmosphere. Cons: All around poor service, mediocre food and terrible atmosphere more

it's all about the pot stickers 2/18/2006

Don't be fooled by the strip mall setting, Canyon Pearl is really a pearl of a restaurant. The pot stickers alone make it worth the drive down ""scenic"" Canyon Road in the heart of Beaverton. In fact, I have a friend who once ate 16 pot stickers in one sitting---set a record in 1995!! But don't take my word for it, try it out tonight! more

Wonderful! 4/17/2004

Out of all Chinese restaurants, this is one of the best! The food is delicious, and made to suit your taste. It is served hot, with great soups, and sides to choose from. It is a great atmosphere for any occassion, business, family, and friends! The family owned restaurant takes care of their customers! If you love chinese food, you must come here. Best Chinese in Portland !! 7/15/2003

We have been to a lot of Chinese Restaurants in Portland, and for starters, always order hot and sour soup and pot stickers. Canyon Pearl has the best!! And the main courses are outstanding. We love the broccoli and grean bean dishes and we always order Mu Shu Pork. Again there's is the best. Tremendous friendly service and an outstanding large fish tank with huge tropical fish. We love the place, our favorite place to eat during the week when we do not want to cook. Try it, you will like it !! Pros: Hot and Sour Soup, Pot Stickers, Mu Shu Pork more

You Need to Try This Restaurant !! 5/8/2003

Absolutely the best Chinese Food. The taste of the food is enhanced by the friendly staff (who's owner is always coming to your table to see if you are satisfied with everything) who, if you go more than two or three times remembers your name. Take-out is very popular but equally enjoyable is the dining area with multiple fresh/saltwater fish tanks and very comfortable atmosphere. The food is guaranteed very hot and very fresh especially the take out. I could very easily go broke eating here several times a week !! Very affordable and they can adjust your tastebuds to suite mild to very spicy dishes. Pros: Good Value, Very Friendly Staff, Fresh and Hot food more
