I used to enjoy Callista Salon, then they moved to their new location. The ceilings are low, the air conditioning doesn't work and the 3 stylist I trusted are no longer there. ...

Best Stylist 11/14/2007

I love Brooke at Callistas Salon. Quite frankly she is the only reason I go to Callistas Salon at all. She is awesome. I used to go to Carmen E Carmen Salon and Modern Salon. I am very picky about my hair. Brooke does a wonderful job. Never had a bad cut or color. I have been seeing her for 4 1/2 years. Most importantly she listens to what you want done to your hair and doesn't try to style your hair to what she thinks would look good or better. If you want great cut and color, go see Brooke!!! You will not be sorry! Pros: great stylist, great color, great price! Cons: Salon could be a little bigger. more

Great friendly salon 8/3/2007

I have been a long time client of the owner of this Salon and could not be more pleased with the service I receive. They are most accommodating when I forever call at the last minute for a manicure or pedicure. The staff is very friendly and always know my name when I come into to the Salon. I highly recommend Callista to everyone. Mary more

Great Salon and Spa with a lot of talent! 8/2/2007

Great Salon and Spa with a lot of talent! I am from Charlotte NC and have been to many up-scaled salons in Charlotte, and the surrounding area. I moved to the Concord area about a year ago and I am so glad to have found Callista Salon and Day Spa. I have several friends and coworkers that also go to Callista and are very happy with their hair and the spa services they have received. The salon staff and stylists are very professional and are always willing and ready to accommodate my busy schedule. I am always able to get the appointment times I need with my colorist and stylist. I have had the joy of meeting the salon owner, which I feel should be very proud of her staff. This is the only salon in Concord that has met all my needs in a professional manner and I would highly recommend this Salon . Pros: Great service and staff is wonderful Cons: NONE more

The owner is not nice and doesn't appreciate her customers 7/27/2007

I have been a regular at this salon, but no more. I have seen the owner of this salon be very rude on three separate occasions. I have had my stylist and colorist apologize to me in hushed tones for her behavior towards clients in front of everyone in the salon. Personally, I stopped in to buy some products one Saturday on my way home from the gym. I didn't look my best, as I had just exercised. I asked the owner for some product advice and she was VERY short and snippy with me. I said, "I am a client here", and then she totally changed her attitude. My colorist told me she has been completely reemed out by this woman on several occasions. Most recently, I showed up for my 11:15 am appointment, only to find out that my stylist was behind and could accomodate me. I was rescheduled for 2:00, which was fine but I had to bring my two kids. Well, the kids were very good and sat in two empty salon chairs and colored for the entire hour. When the salon owner came around and saw them sitting in her chairs, she reprimanded them (right in front of me) for sitting in her "very expensive" chairs. She is not a nice person and she does not deserve success. She is lucky that she has talented stylists on her staff or she would go out of business based on the way she treats people. She is clearly on a power trip. more

Beautiful highlights for hair, great nails, immaculate salon, friendly staff, casual atmosphere, comfortable 11/15/2006

I love Callista Salon & Day Spa in Concord. I'm very picky about my hair. I have gone to almost every place in Charlotte and ended up at different places each time because a stylist I liked left. I have seen Callista on several occasions but was hesitant because I thought you had to drive to Charlotte to get good hair color. I decided to try Callista one day because I've had Aveda color before, and I remembered it was always in beautiful shades. I saw Sarah, who is very friendly and listens to what you ask for. I was offered a beverage of my choice 4 times. The staff was very nice. The atmosphere was casual and the salon was very clean. It was very modern looking- as great as any I've been to in Charlotte (I've been to Modern Salon, Euphoria Salon, Carmen Carmen, Spa at Margo Blue, Charles Grayson, etc). I got Aveda highlights- which were very soft and not dry at all to my hair. The color was a pretty beige, which suited my complexion. The salon also offers nail treatments, waxing, and a lot more. The best part is the price. I thought their prices were very reasonable. A lot less than I was paying in those other Charlotte salons. Another great thing is the location. It's near Concord Mills, so you can make a day of going to the salon and shopping. There is a coffee house, Mexican restaurant, and more right next door to the salon and you can walk to any of this. I'm very glad I tried this salon! Pros: Great color, great nails, friendly, attentive, casual, hip music, modern, affordable, etc! Cons: Aveda color took 45 min to process- but was not drying like most hair color more
