I love Callista Salon & Day Spa in Concord. I'm very picky about my hair. I have gone to almost every place in Charlotte and ended up at different places each time because a stylist I liked left. I have seen Callista on several occasions but was hesitant because I thought you had to drive to Charlotte to get good hair color. I decided to try Callista one day because I've had Aveda color before, and I remembered it was always in beautiful shades. I saw Sarah, who is very friendly and listens to what you ask for. I was offered a beverage of my choice 4 times. The staff was very nice. The atmosphere was casual and the salon was very clean. It was very modern looking- as great as any I've been to in Charlotte (I've been to Modern Salon, Euphoria Salon, Carmen Carmen, Spa at Margo Blue, Charles Grayson, etc). I got Aveda highlights- which were very soft and not dry at all to my hair. The color was a pretty beige, which suited my complexion.

The salon also offers nail treatments, waxing, and a lot more. The best part is the price. I thought their prices were very reasonable. A lot less than I was paying in those other Charlotte salons. Another great thing is the location. It's near Concord Mills, so you can make a day of going to the salon and shopping. There is a coffee house, Mexican restaurant, and more right next door to the salon and you can walk to any of this.

I'm very glad I tried this salon!
Pros: Great color, great nails, friendly, attentive, casual, hip music, modern, affordable, etc!
Cons: Aveda color took 45 min to process- but was not drying like most hair color
