Calling All Dogs

I LOVE Calling All dogs! I am now taking my 4th class with them and the knowledge has been indispensable. I have an adopted dog that has some reactivity issues with strangers and ALL of the techniques they have shared with me have made a tremendous impact and difference in our lives. I am no longer panicked when a stranger approaches us or a bike rides by. I also have a 4 and 1/2 month old puppy that has been going to puppy classes since she was 8 weeks old. She is just growing up to be the most balanced and well socialized, laid back dog because she has been socialized as well as learning since she was so young. Their business is growing so fast and I know they are so busy because they are always willing to answer questions well as offer advice. Anytime anyone asks me about my well trained dogsI just say ""Everything I learned I learned at Calling All Dogs!! They are great it is worth your time and Money!"" We were delighed to grant a family wish to get a boxer puppy but she was an unexpected handful. She nipped fingers and toes and the children were asking if we could get a friendlier dog. I finally got exasperated with her and her terrorizing visitors by barking furiously at every ring of the doorbell, I called ""Calling All Dogs"" as a last resort on the recommendation of a co-worker. I did have to call several times before I got a real person, but when I did speak to Anna, she was great. I expected her to recommend classes or private training, but she listened to my problem and gave me some really good ideas over the phone - NO charge for that, thank you very much. Some of her suggestions were very helpful and since they proved successful (she stopped biting!), I decided to enroll her in some classes. We had Michele as a teacher, and the positive reinforcement training has made a new owner out of me - and a great pet out of our boxer. I saw that part of the problem with the dog was that WE didn't understand how to help her understand what we wanted. After seeing how these girls work, I also understand why they don't always get the phone - they're busy teaching classes, duh!! more

On the recommendation of a friend, we enrolled our newly adopted adult dog in C.H.A.R.M. School at Calling All Dogs. As a rescued dog, he needed basic training as well as socialization. Our most important criteria was finding a training facility that used positive methods--no choke chains or other harsh methods. Our first six-week class was with Anna, who is indeed a specialist in behavioral issues. I cannot recommend her highly enough! The change in our dog's behavior and the increase in his confidence was amazing. We have since enrolled our dog in two additional classes, and we will begin a third class this week. The classes are limited in size and involve a great deal of individual attention. The trainers--Anna, Michelle, Nicole and guests--are very willing to assist you in adapting methods to your dog's needs. I have not had problems with communication. When I called today, I not only spoke to Anna, but she told me about an excellent article related to a medical issue my dog is experiencing. I have recommended Calling All Dogs to a number of dog owners and will continue to do so. more

I was referred to Anna at Calling All Dogs. I had acquired a new dog. He is wonderful with people. He hadn't been properly introduced to other dogs when he was a puppy. He started to display some aggression towards other dogs. I was told Anna at Calling All Dogs was a specialist in this area. She may well be, but she is impossible to reach. Cons: Anna is impossible to reach so don't waste your time. more
