My sister, got married last weekend and she ordered the brides & grooms cake from these people. They told my Mom that the cakes would be delivered to the reception (in Terrell) between 4:00 & 6:00. The wedding was at 7:00 with the reception immediately after. At 7:30, we got a call from a friend who was making sure everything was set up, that the cakes were not there yet. My Mom & sister panicked! I got on the phone trying to get in touch with the cake people to find out what was going on?\r
I left at least 4 voicemails at their storefront & called the cell phone at least 50 times (seriously) before I finally talked to the owner, Josh, who was delivering the cake. When I finally reached him it was 8:30 and still no cakes. He sounded like he was high or drunk! He said he got lost (from Richardson to Terrell) & was in Rockwall. I told him how to get to the reception and he finally showed up at 9:30pm & the cakes were not in very good shape. He spent 20 minutes ?fixing? them. This whole time he did not apologize even once. He was 100% un-apologetic and acted like it was no big deal. I missed more than ? the reception trying to deal with all this.\r
Then, my Mom & Dad went up to the store front yesterday to discuss the situation and how to get it resolved (refund etc). They never showed up and will not return their calls. They basically have taken the $ and run.\r
Needless to say, my sister was devastated and my parents are FURIOUS!! We are trying to do everything in our power to see to it that this doesn?t happen to someone else. Please pass on this information to your event planners or wedding coordinators you work with. I would hate for someone else to have their reception ruined the way my sisters was.\r
