You won't be disappointed 11/14/2008

Although crowded and noisy, the food is to die for. the best northern Italian we have ever had. This place is about QUALITY. Check the hours, not open lunch or Sundays (I think) Realy worth the wait for a special place. The wine selection is great too Their house wine has become one of our FAV's. Pros: the food and wine Cons: the wait more

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE QUALITY 10/15/2008

I went to Cafe Bella with great expectations, but was very disappointed. The menu was different, but not very enticing. The food was ok, not great. The pricing was HIGH. Little value for the dollar. I'll stay with LaScala's --more value for the money. Pros: GOOD BREAD Cons: OVERPRICED more

Best Food - fresh and very well prepared! 9/1/2008

This is one of my most favorite restaurants. Although the accustics make it a loud space, the food is always excellent. The fish is always super fresh and prepared just perfectly. It doesn't matter what you get you can expect that it will taste like a home meal that you don't have the patience to prepare. The choices of meat and fish are great and they always have interesting appetizers - like the roasted figs with gorgonzola and prosciutto - it just melts in your mouth! Service is very casual but never had an issue. Pros: Fantastic food! Cons: Small space that is always full; loud. more

Not what it used to be 8/16/2008

Group of eight of us to celebrate an anniversary were left wanting. Have been customers for ten years. Soggy pizza crust, overdressed salad, cold entrees (duck and tuna dishes) show a lack of attention and complacency on part of the kitchen and staff. While people may line up for a table, perhaps it is because there isn't much else available in Randolph. Better off traveling a few miles than to accept mediocrity. The waitress was inattentive and aloof. Bathrooms are in poor condition. Overall disappointing- they're just coasting on past accolades, and thus, going downhill..... more

Kate is the best 8/5/2008

I travel through New England on business once a month and always schedule my trip around this fantastic restaurant. It ranks up there with any of the better places in the North End and is actually more delicious and more creative. Kate the bartender is one of the reasons I go there also. She always gives me a warm welcome and makes this New Yorker feel right at home in Beantown. The food is outstanding the atmosphere warm and inviting and the prices are great compared to other places with lesser quality. The Saute Pan of clams, mussels, sausage and chile's is reason alone to go. In the dozen or so times I have gone there I have never had even a mediocre meal ,it is always special Pros: Great food. Great Prices Great bartender Kate Cons: Get there early if you want a seat fast more

Excellent food. Kate, the bartender, is not very welcoming or friendly. 8/3/2008

I love Cafe Bellas. Their food is unbelievable. The pork, salmon, and tuna are my favorite entrees. The appetizers are excellent. The figs and sashimi are great. The portions are larger than most establishments that serve such great quality food. \r \r I have been eating here since they have opened and the only downfall is the bartender, Kate. She is much friendlier to the male patrons. She has never made me feel welcome at the bar. This is very disappointing to me but I still go for the food, but not as often! Pros: food is excellent, most employees provide great service and are very friendly, especially Angel and Jill. Cons: food service at the bar is fine but friendliness of the bartender is terrible. I would question how busy the bar could be if Kate was nicer. more

Honest food/Finest Quality/AMAZING!!! 5/19/2008

This is simply one of the best restaurants my wife and I have had the pleasure to enjoy! Arriving early is a must, and the wait is always challenging, but the experience is unbelievable. The amazing quality, the creative yet simple preparatins and the fact that the found arrives hot and beautiful presented make it all worth the wait! Patrick Barnes is a genius, and this food will make you proud in front of your toughest critic friends and clients! Don't miss this place even though the strip mall can throw you off. Seriously, the wait staff is great, they know the wines, they really add to the phenomenal food!! Pros: Food quality, Service Cons: Long waits unless you arrive early! more

Great Food....nasty hostess 3/6/2008

OK the food is great, but you will wait forever unless you are willing to ""pay off"" the hostess....on our long wait she continued to seat people (her friends or regulars) that came in long after we did...and she is not very friendly if you ask when you may be seated....also, if you try to sit at the bar and not eat while you are waiting for a table, the bartender is nasty as well....if the food was not so damn good I would never go back....the wait staff on the other hand are wonderful...so once you finally get seated and dpast the hostedd, the experience is very, very good. more

PAYING OF THE HOSTESS CAN CURB THE WAIT 12/11/2007

DURING MY 4 1/2 HOUR DINNER(6PM-10:30PM) I SAW THE HOSTESS TAKING MONEY TO SEAT REGULARS AHEAD OF MY PARTY OF FOUR. WE WAITED 90 MINUTES TO SIT.THIS WAS ON SATURDAY, DEC 1ST. THE WOMAN WAS RUDE WHEN I INQUIRED ABOUT THE WAIT(LITTLE DID I KNOW A TWENTY WOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THAT) IF YOUR A REGULAR AT CAFFE BELLA, ENJOY! IF YOUR JUST A REGULAR JOE OFF THE STREET, DON'T BOTHER! Pros: GREAT FOOD, MY WAITRESS WAS LOVELY Cons: TERRIBLE WAIT, CORRUPT HOSTESS more

Always a great meal! 4/11/2005

This is one of the best places to eat. We've been going for the past 9 years and have never had a bad meal. We make the trip from Revere every chance we have a chance to get out! Weather you sit at the bar with Angel the bartender or wait for a table it's always well worth the trip! The food is always great. We've eaten at many well known restaurants in and around Boston, but are always glad to go back to Cafe Bella where we know we'll have great food and a great time! more
