Great atmosphere 10/6/2008

The food and service were fine, but what I loved best was the cute courtyard for outdoor dining. My aunt moved to Newton 25 years ago and Sol Azteca is one of her favorite restaurants in the area. I went there for the first time this summer and was very pleased. The menu is not extensive, but they have all the authentic classics. The meals are large, so you might even end up having some to take home with you. The location is very convenient, as it is usually not hard to find street parking and it is also right across the street from the T. Over priced and under seasoned 8/29/2008

If you're looking for a new scene and decor, this is the place for you. But if you're looking for something that's going to give your tastebuds a run find another place to dine! The service was great, the people are friendly, and the location is cozy but the food wasn't worth the price. There just wasn't enough flavor for me. I don't claim to be a Mexican food conniasseur, but I do tend to enjoy this place. The decor is cute, the service is good, and the food is flavorful without being too salty. more
