I went here for brunch yesterday, Father's Day. First and foremost, this establishment needs a makeover. Actually, it needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Then, they can begin to operate efficiently with pride and receive better reviews. The food is not all that great for a brunch, but worth the price. Stick to the meats and omlette table, but do not expect too many mixins for your omlette. Average. Service is extremely horrible that you would think they were community service workers. Expect to flag a waiter down if you need a refill on water or anything to drink. Wait, they will rush the check to you and back. There was no changing table in the restrooms as if it were Paris. The owner/s should really consider all the reviews and negative things that customers are saying in regards to the restaurant. We are what makes your business a success. Pros: Meats and sauces Cons: Service, decor, temperatures (food/restaurant), atmosphere, landscaping, no changing table more

Don't listen to those horrible reviews. This restaurant was great! Great food for REALLY great prices. The front and the back was not very nice looking but since it's all about the food...I say it was EXCELLENT. AND the service was superb as well. Friendly faces! Loved this place...Ive been going for the past few months, every time I come in, everything was great... loved the steak and seafood especially! My parents loved it and they're picky eaters too! Pros: Food, service Cons: what the outside looks like more

My family and I recently decided to have brunch at Cafe Natalie after church. We were initially "greeted" by what felt like a lack of air conditioning at the entrance and by a seemingly disinterested hostess. We were then seated in the main dining room and were ignored for 10 minutes before a waiter came to our table to take our drink orders. When we asked for a menu we were told that they only had a buffet style brunch and that it cost $10/person. Imagine our suprise when we were led to a small room with very few hot trays and an odd assortment of cold lunch items. The waffles were obviously Eggos and the french toast looked and tasted like the kind you get from the freezer section at the grocery store. The bacon and sausage were luke warm while the eggs seemed to have been sitting there for a while. The lunch items included boiled shrimp that tasted like it came out of the back of a fishermans truck. Needless to say, we will not be going back and I would advise that you don't waste your money at this poorly run "restaurant". Pros: None Cons: Food, waitstaff, service, value more

Cafe Natalie needs some work 12/2/2006

We had brunch at Cafe Natalie in December 2006. Let's say something nice first. The Swedish meatballs, fish, and french toast were great. The syrup was cold and instead of pancakes, they served Eggos that were cold and hard. The bacon was over cooked, but the sausage was quite tasty, but cold too. The scrambled eggs were okay, not runny at all, but there were no fixings to add to the eggs like green peppers, onions, etc. The pork chops were tough and contained a lot fat. There was a chocolate fountain but the chocolate was runny and thin. The wait staff didn't seem to know what he was doing, he kept on running to the back of the restaurant and yelled for "Terry, I don' know how to do this." "Terry, I need your help." None of my party said they would ever return to Cafe Natalie, but I might return if Cafe N. can get its act together. In decor, there was a table cloth stuffed in the French doors to keep the cold out. There was a hole in the wall by a light fixture. Some ceiling tiles were loose and there was substantial water damage to the ceiling. When one of our party asked where the men's room was, the bartender said a child threw a ball down the toilet and it was out of order. In Texas, this means you have to shut down, but the restaurant operated any way. Pros: Great eggs and french toast for eggs Cons: poor service (waiters don't know what to do), some food cold, bad attitude more

Yes, the prices are low but you really get what you pay for. The crab cakes taste more like bread than crab. Overall, the food tastes like frozen dinners you would buy at the grocery store. more

Last visited on Oct 30th. Caught the aniversary special; 4 course meal for $15. Wow, what a deal! Start with crab cakes, not too crabby, but tasty none the less. Next came a wedge of iceburg lettuce and sliced tomatoes. My favorite type of salad, nothing else to get in the way. Cold and crisp. The main entree was a choice of veal picatta, chicken marsala, or braised lamb shank. I chose the chicken. It was a mild marsala flavor, not overpowering like others I've tried. My dining partners tried the other two dishes. Both were very good. The dinners come with grilled vegetables and rosemary mashed potatoes. We ended the night with our choice of cheese cake or creme brule'. Both, again, were very good. Even at regular prices, this place is tough to beat. Pros: great food, low prices, casual, friendly Cons: service not fastest more
