My partner and I were very satisfied with this establishment. Our waiter was courteous, helpful and accomodating, and our food was tasty and wonderfully presented. The place was clean, including the bathrooms. We went on a Saturday late morning and parking was not a problem on the street. We sat outside. During that time, the area was mostly quiet, which added to our pleasant dining experience. I would definitely come here again! I highly recommend this place! Pros: Excellent Service, Food was marvelous and nicely presented. Cons: None more

First of all, the staff is awesome!!! they are always so friendly specially Philip, he knows how to make you feel confortable. The food is really good also, it what makes this small place different. I tried several dishes and from now I never been disappointed. You should definitely check this place during the week end, it s more fun. Not a fan of the onion soup because they do not melt the cheese and just put it on the side but the rest of the food there is simple but delicious. Just practice your french there, it s a great way to learn !!! Pros: price, food, Philip Cons: onion soup more

So, I WANT this place to be good, I do. However, every time I've been here, I'm so disappointed! The menu is alright; the food is just blah; the ambiance is not that great. I LOVE breakfast food; I go through the week looking forward to breakfast on Saturdays and brunch on Sundays; this place just does NOT do it for me. I don't understand HOW it gets rated Best of CitySearch! more

Amazing food and fun atmosphere 11/6/2008

Cafe Flore is a gem in Beverly Hills. The menu is great. Walk in, get seated, and let them serve it up. Each course is delicious and the manager (or maybe owner) walks around to each and every table to make sure everything is perfect. Good for a date, or good for a group. But in the end, it's about the food and this place delivers on the flavor. more

Good service, reasonable price and friendly atmosphere 11/3/2008

We dined there at the day of Halloween. It's a quiet and decent place, perfect place for dating. As most people said, the server are attentive and polite, We'd escargot stuffed mushroom for the appetizer, it like melt in your mouth. And orange duck and saffron chicken for the main course, they were good too. For the desert, we'd the bread pudding, my husband like it a lot. For this price and services, you could hardly find nowhere in Beverly Hill. more

I went to this place for the first time a month or two ago and I am planning my next visit! The service was great and the food was mouth watering! We had the stuffed chicken and ravioli and both were delicious! It's quite smal inside but the ambience is romantic. You can also bring your own wine (and no corkage!), since they don't sell their own. Can't wait to go back! more

The best cafe in beverly hills- HANDS DOWN!!!! 9/5/2008

Perfection! I have been a patron of Cafe Flore for years and have yet to have a meal that wasn't heavenly! I've celebrated my birthday here, rented the entire cafe for my christmas party AND Fabien & Philippe have catered lunch to production crew and cast of BRAVO TV Reality show "WORKOUT" season 3. The customer service is amazing and has not changed since the day they opened- unlike many beverly hills establishments that seem to get worse over time. I'm always greeted like a member of the family and have spent many hours dining and laughig with friends and family. The entire staff greets you with a smile and very attentive to your every need. I'm in love with every item on the menu and would eat there all day everyday if I could. The salmon is perfectly cooked, the mouth watering pumpkin ravoli will knock your socks off. Even the basic hamburger is moist and cooked just right. The french fries are out of this world! PERFECT everytime. Crispy, but not hard, seasoned and HOT! Whether you are grabbing a latte on the run or sitting down to a family dinner, CAFE FLORE is the best place to dine in Beverly Hills. The desserts are sinful and should not be avoided! I'm guilty of pulling my car over on Robertson and eating the bread pudding before I get home. I'm starting a petition for the cafe to be open 24 hours a day! It doesnt get any better than CAFE FLORE! Yummy in my tummy!!!!!! Pros: Sheer perfection! Cons: honestly, NONE! more

A terrific taste of France 5/31/2008

jenheidir Provided by Partner
This cozy French cafe lives up to its billing at the 2008 pick by Citysearch users for best brunch spot in L.A. The breakfast plates come so beautifully decorated with powdered sugar and strawberries carved to look like flowers. The paintings of Paris on the cream-colored walls and the French placemats decorating the table make diners feel transported to Europe. (The fact that a lot of the customers and wait staff speak French helps, too). From omletttes to traditional chicken dishes, Cafe Flore is a great destination for any meal. However, the big draw here has to be the crepes. The strawberry Nutella one I get is always so thin and crisp; it practically melts in your mouth. It doesn?t taste pancake-y like a lot of other American restaurants trying to do crepes. The salads and sandwiches are a tad more expensive than other area restaurants, but are clearly worth the extra few dollars as soon as you dig in. The turkey sandwich with apples, honey mustard sauce and Swiss cheese I guarantee with send your taste buds into ecstasy. Cafe Flore is definitely a brunch destination in L.A. that should not be missed! Pros: food, ambience, service Cons: small dining room more

Cute but crowded... 5/31/2008

yokoq Provided by Partner
The place if very cute, small and very crowded and wait times can be long. Cool place to go for breakfast/brunch, but be forewarned, it is French restaurant and most of the wait staff are French, so expect the service to be slow and but surprisingly very friendly. Just like in Paris, except for being friendly :) Their eggs Benedict are really good. It's all about the bread they use. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict. I would go again, but I will make a reservations. Their cheese platters looked interesting, but I haven't tried it yet. May be next time I will grab a bottle of wine from my house and try the cheese platter. A couple of months ago I was in Paris and went to Cafe De Flore in Saint-Germain, paid over $40 for a salad and a glass of wine, and let me tell you, the food in this little place here is a lot better the one in France. more

My wife and I enjoyed this place soo much that we started telling our friends about this restaurant and so far, we've heard nothing but good comments about this place from our friends. Before you go, make sure you email them to make a reservation because they give you 20% discount for online reservation. Everytime when we go, we come out with a very full stomach and it didn't hurt our wallet at all. more

mediocre food 5/27/2008

I went on Sunday late morning with high hopes given the pedigree ( french, good reviews...) It was one of the biggest disapointments We ordered the chicken sandwich : it was bland , came without a sauce , having a yellow coating that was supposed to be saffron but it only had the color . The steack sandwich for $ 12 was also bland had the same lettuce . Finally we had hopes that the eggplant baguette might save the day but it was also bland ( the same tasteless sandwich ) I am not even sure if there were eggplants as I suspect that they were substituted with zucchini but I am not sure ( it tells you how indifferentiate the taste was) The server was nice but these people have to change the cook Where is the pesto , the goey eggplant , the marinated chicken , the caramelized onions that you get anywhere else cafe flore with such an illustrious name ( one of the nicest brasserie in Paris) does not live up to its name Pros: service and clean place Cons: food more
