I'm not sure about the other reviewer of this restaurant, but I have enjoyed this place of business. I have to say that when I first went in many years ago, it wasn't the hottest experience. I remember not liking it so much and not having a desire to go back. My wife dragged me back in a few months ago, and whoa - things had changed. All of the food was great! Fresh, friendly service, and great flavor. Overly Garlicly? Hmm... Not overly, but I am one of the few in Bellingham that actually enjoys flavor. Leave it to others to eat cardboard - I enjoy flavors! The waitstaff was new and quick enough, and appologised for her lack of speed even though there wasn't any problems. I've had good Greek food. I've had great Greek food - Greek town in Detroit, MI is where you go for great Greek food. New York has fine Greek food. Victoria, BC - an also ran, but good. Whereas Bellingham - not so much. This small yet very assuming cafe has all the hallmarks of what might be a good Greek restaurant - minimalist Mediterranean artwork, candles, vines, tables outside. Cafe Akroteri has the best Greek food that me or my family has ever had! Very authentic~ The restaurant is quiet & cute, the food is just amazing. They have the best home made Greek Salad dressing on earth! you must check out this restaurant, if you don't, you haven't lived! :) And No, I don't work here, just a fan!
