How unfortunate that this beautiful golf course with it's elegant club house is located right along Highway 41. There are times when you literally can't talk with your companions...

Too noisy 11/9/2005

How unfortunate that this beautiful golf course with it's elegant club house is located right along Highway 41. There are times when you literally can't talk with your companions because of the highway noise. Woodland setting with beautiful landscaping and little animals, but the noise was just more than I could take. more

  • In 1923, a group of local citizens sensed a need for another golf club in the Appleton, Wis., area. By 1924, famed architect W.C. Jackson was carving the Butte des Morts Country Club golf course out of the Wisconsin farmland. The early work on the golf course, such as tree removal and landscaping, was all done by horses and hands. Butte des Morts Country Club is a members-only club that, in addition to golf, features swimming pools, two tennis courts, full-course dining, an a la carte grill and private dining rooms. The golf course is an 18-hole, par-70 course with narrow fairways and mature trees.
