Bull Restoration

I am very happy with my new cabinets from Bull Restoration. I had new upper kitchen cabinets built, and my bottom ones refinished, with new drawers and doors. It is a huge improvement to my kitchen and you can tell they are of high quality. Sean and his crew know what they are doing, and the bulk of the work was done very quickly and efficiently. I got estimates from several companies, mostly for refacing, some for not even for solid wood (we went with white cabinets, and some of these quotes for thermofoil). Sean's price was higher than the others, but not significantly considering his included brand new, solid wood upper cabinets, not just refacing. I felt like it was the best value overall. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that there was an issue with one cabinet being built the wrong size. The cabinet was rebuilt quickly--the night it was discovered--which was great, but when he installed it, he realized the shelf holes didn't line up. We had to wait over a week for the new doors for that cabinet, and the new holes weren't drilled until then, which meant that cabinet was unusable for that week, and that cabinet has 2 rows of holes drilled on the inside, which doesn't look as nice as the others (only visible from the inside). Not the end of the world in the grand scheme of things, but it was a bit of an inconvenience. All in all we are pleased, and would definitely recommend Sean and Bull Restoration! We will consider them for future projects for sure. more

Bull restoration is one of the best Professional and high Quality businesses in the market. Sean is very active in the business and meets his schedule. All his workers show up and know what to do and to work in concert together. It took 2 days to do what I would call a moderate to large size kitchen , laundry room and 2 bath's. We looked at several options for brightening up and modernizing our 26 year old kitchen cabinets ranging from replacing (most costly), to simply painting (least expensive) to re-facing. We selected Bull Restoration for the job because we felt they allowed us to have some upgrades we wanted for the most reasonable cost. We were not disappointed. Sean understood exactly what we wanted to accomplish and he and his crew did exactly what they said they would do for the price quoted. They installed new drawers in our lower cabinets that give us tons more storage and saves us from stooping down to get our pots and pans. They also installed new hidden hinges on our cabinet doors and installed doors on a corner shelving that give us additional storage. But most of all, we enjoy the totally new look of our kitchen cabinets - from dark wood to a light cream color. The transformation only took two days. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. more

Sean and his crew were very clear on fulfulling our expectation. We do not live in a giant house so space creation was very important. Not only did they create the space we needed, they did a fantastic job on the finish, crown and trim. The most impressive thing was watching the team work. They coated every surface with protective material, sectioned off the kitchen from the rest of the house with plastic and set up a special fan(intake and outtake) to keep all fumes/chemicals out of the house. There was no mess anywhere after complettion. The endcaps Sean devised for the sides of the cabinets were trimmed to look like another cabinet which we had no idea he was going to install - way above our expectation. New granite, sink, handles and fixtures and we feel like we moved without moving. Thanks Sean! more

I contacted Sean with Bull Restoration about building a new kitchen island as opposed to refacing what we currently had. Sean, considering our small kitchen, presented several great ideas. Because the work quoted was so reasonably priced, we decided to have him build a new island with drawers and enlarged it by adding a built in trash can & recycling bin. They built for us a custom piece of furniture for our kitchen, it is amazing! We also decided to have our 10 year old natural maple cabinets glazed and added under cabinet molding which transformed them. The glaze really tied them to the new black island. Once the granite was added, we have a completely renovated kitchen, it is beautiful! Sean and his guys are true professionals. He was very responsive to every request and question I had through the process. He worked with my schedule to complete the work in a timely manner. I am so pleased with what they did for my kitchen!. I am thrilled with my kitchen remodel. Bull Restoration refinished my oak cabinets and built me a new island and several other cabinets. He was very professional. The workmanship was outstanding. He was always on time and was very hepfully with some decisions I wasn't totally sure about. All of my neighbors that have seen it love it. Our friend/designer, Kathie Sawyer, hired Bull to re-paint our kitchen cabinets. They are very professional, do what they say they will do and do it well. There was a short lead time to schedule them and the work was finished in one week. Day 1 taking the drawers and doors, one week later coming back to spray the frames and install the doors. Very easy for us! We're very happy with their work. We would recommend them to others and hire them again for any similar work. more

A year ago we replaced our countertops with granite, and ever since have needed a new look for our island. We looked at rebuilding the island/replacing all the panels, but the options available to us were not exactly what we were looking for. Sean had refinished our front entry door for us a couple years ago, some asked him to come by and discuss our island. Anyone who knows anything about woodwork knows that all the time/labor/effort is I'm the stripping and subsequent refinishing. The quality of the work is what makes all the difference. Sean came quickly disassembling the island and took all the fronts and panels away to provide the new finish we wanted for our kitchen. He even ran a router around the outside of all the drawer-fronts and panels to give them a more intricate edge and complete the look we were after. Our island is now the focal point in our kitchen. more

Sean and his team did a fantastic job painting the existing cabinets, adding molding, replacing the doors and drawer fronts, and adding wood paneling to the peninsula. sean and his crew were punctual, courteous, and detail oriented. they removed all of the cabinet doors and drawers and replaced them with new and better constructed material stained to the finish of my choice. the work was completed in 1.5 days with minimal disruption to my kitchen and home. when they finished each day they cleaned the work area and replaced items that had been removed to complete the work. i was very pleased with their company and would highly recommend them to others in the raleigh-durham area. also, i had a similar job estimated by a big box home improvement store within the past year and bull restoration was thousands of dollars less for a more detailed job done by their employees and not sub-contractors. more
