After having a few bad experiences at a couple of different locations of Ben's, I remembered Buddy's, so my friend and I decided to go see if I was still there. IT IS!!
The downsides, and there are only two: 1) the menu is not as extensive as Ben's, but this is not a big deal, as they carry all the important foods and it's all freshly prepared on-site. 2)There is only one location, but it's worth the trip.
Our favorites: Matzoh ball soup with loads of noodles cooked just right and the matzoh ball light yet substantial. Corned beef, brisket, or pastrami, seasoned just right, lean and tender, piled high on rye or a roll. Hot dogs, grilled to that perfect snap. Knishes, neither soggy nor dry, but perfect pockets of potato yumminess. Burgers, well, you can't possibly go wrong with a Buddyburger, and pair that with hand-cut fries -- ask for them well-done for a special treat.
Wash it all down with a Dr. Brown's or a glass of brewed iced tea.
One more plus -- the restrooms, thought really small, are always very clean.
