Brockport Animal Hospital

I have been going to Brockport Animal Hospital since 1992. I would not dream of going anywhere else when it comes to my dogs. Dr. Edwards is knowledgeable caring and compassionate. His staff is also the best. Thank you for all you do. more

We live in Fairport and we are willing to drive the 20+ miles for the expert and loving care all of the staff give to our animals. For 6 years I have used Brockport Animal Hospital to give vet care to my 3 ferrets. Dr. Edwards has an amazing way with animals and people. He's a fantastic communicator and is a true expert on ferrets. Last year our last ferret died of cancer, after going through adrenal surgery and insulinoma, and I think Dr. Edwards was sadder than we were when we made the final decision to put Zucchini down. A few weeks ago we acquired a puppy and checked local vets; wanting to keep spending down due to the cost of gas. Most wanted to push extra services for extra $$. I felt as though they were more interested in their wallets and the look of their building than they were in my puppy. We again turned to BAS and were given 5 star care. Our puppy was spayed and caught up with shots, and it didn't break the bank. We weren't given sales pitches on "treatments we should consider" or items we may want to purchase. The staff treats the animals they care for as if they were their own. I can't say enough for this very caring and knowledgeable staff. more

Jake was my 12 year old mini-pin, who spent the last 4 1/2 years of his life being treated for severe diabetes, seizures, and various other ailments that crept up due to a weakened immune system. Brockport Animal Hospital and it's staff was always there to discuss, evaluate, and treat Jake with the utmost of care. My questions and concerns were always addressed and answered with honesty and sincerity. On February 4th, 2008 Jake's illness forced me to decide his fate. His quality of life was no longer and I struggled to find the strength to do the right thing. I want everyone to know that Brockport Animal Hospital and it's staff go above and beyond. "Mary" who has worked there for 17 years was on vacation the day I had to lay Jake to rest. I personally asked for her because I needed someone to hold my hand (so to speak) and was told she was on vacation. Mary had cared for Jake on several occasions and there was a comfort level that both Jake and I shared when he was in her care. When I arrived for my appointment "Mary" was there for us. She helped me stay calm for Jake so I could let him go peacefully to a better place. Other than saying THANK YOU Mary from the bottom of my heart I am sure I don't need to say anything more about the integrity and compassion of Brockport Animal Hospital - that gesture alone speaks loud and clear. more

I cannot posibly say enough good things about this place. You can tell that the people that work here are really animal lovers. They were friendly everytime I have been in there. My cat was declawed and the day I took her home it was a nasty storm. There were alot of people wityhout power and the vet was one of them. I had to cal them because my cat had chewed open her stiches. Well they had me bring her in and they worked on her by flashlight. more
