Brittany's Spa Salon

I went there to have old extensions removed and new ones put in....let me tell you she did a number on my hair. Not only did she do a crappy job installing them, but the removal process was a nightmare. She and her lovely assistant tag teamed me and yanked and broke them off leaving me in some spots with little nubs (which I am slowly growing out, have been told it will take at least a year :( When I went to go see another stylist who specializes in extensions in Miami, because after 3 weeks they were falling out and they hurt so much, I was told that she put them in so that I would have to come back in more frequently. Great lenghts are suppose to last 3 - 6 months, my extensions began falling out at 3 weeks ($1600, down the drain, and don't believe her that she is cutting you a deal) . When I first went to see brittany I told her my concerns and some of the things I read on the web about her and she said ""don't believe everything thing you read"".....yeah don't believe the good stuff because she is a true scam artist who doesn't not care about you or your hair. She also colored my hair, which she used permentant coloring on, now I have a lovely dark ring of color from where she colored it. I have been told by several stylists (that I trusts) that she did that to my hair again to get you me to come back more frequently etc. Save your money and your hair. I wish I listened to the bad reviews, I would still have most of my hair. more

Let me start by saying I am one of the pickiest people alive about my hair. I had a ""hair girl"" for about 8 years who I could say do whatever you want to my hair and come out looking amazing. She moved away about 4 yrs ago, and ever since I have been searching for ""The One""...to no avail and Many bad cuts/color later...I FOUND HER...Brittany!!! She is AMAZING!!!!! She will give you what you want, but will also give you her input on whether or not it should or can be done. She has a knowledge so advanced I cannot compair her to anyone who's ever touched my hair. Not only does she rock your hair, she is faster than any other stylist I have ever had. I watched the other stylists while I was there just to get a feel for their work, and they are all wonderfu (I always watch everyone else just in case I may ever need to go back and she isnt there. I bought a Living Social coupon for a Brazilian Blowout or Keratin treatment. I have previously had a Brazilian Blowout and loved it. My hair is cork screw curly. I called and made my appointment for 12:30. I took 2.25 hours of leave from work because of the length of time it takes and the busy schedule I have with my grandchildren. I arrived a few minutes early and while waiting, I was chatting with the lady at the desk who turned out to be the owner. I did not know that at the time. I was talking about the blowout and she said, ""you are here for the keratin. We no longer do blowouts because of the formaldehyde."" After going back and forth and explaining that I know what I want and what I made an appointment for, I was told they would order the product and call me with a new appointment. They called and rescheduled. The day before my second appointment, I called them to ensure they got the product only to find out they didn't. When I asked if they planned to call me and tell me before I took vacation again, they paused and said, ""of course we were"". At this point, it was 3:30 in the afternoon. I do not think I was getting a call. While they were very polite and apologetic, that does not pay back my leave nor get my hair done. I got a credit from Living Social and will never visit this salon again. more

i recently was a walk in to brittanys. everyone was very friendly and prompt about servicing me. i had the opportunity of having my hair cut and colored by a very unique stylist, amy. i was a former client at a salon at the beaches where i always got the same look. amy listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me more than i asked for. i dont feel guilty at all about leaving my old stylist, and making amy my new sylist at brittnays. i would reccommend anyone to go to this salon where they are highly trained stylists, and very capable of thier services. more

I was a new client to the salon and the whole staff made me feel so comfortable and welcome. I had my hair cut and highlighted with Katie and it came out great. Definitely go!!! more

I went to Brittany's 2 months ago. Of course my hair looked wonderful when I left but I have been having a bad hair day ever since. I keep telling myself that it is just hair and it will grow back....it just can't grow back fast enough! By the way, there is nothing spa like at Brittany's. It is just like every other hair place in any strip mall. The only difference here is that Brittany will be rude to the employees in front of customers. more

The officer manager type-person is very tacky and lacks customer service skills when interacting with customers. The stylists seem to be doing the best they can; however they run around whispering to each other trying to mix color and discuss price with the office manager in hushed tones as if the customers can't hear all of this going on. Not professional and not a SPA experience at all. I left with dark brown color stain around the rim of my face. The work was sloppy. It could have been better if the stylist could have done their job, but there seems to be something very wrong in the organizational structure of this ""salon"". more

I found Brittany's Spa Salon in a magainze article. I was new to the Jax area and looking for something to do with my very fine cury locks. I walked into Brittany's and had my first consult. It was the best experience I have ever had in a salon. I was immediately impressed with Brittany's knowledge and style. It was very obvious that she is well trained and up to date on all the current and latest techniques. What also impressed me was how she sees to every detail with the eye of a perfectionist. The staff is continously learning under her skillfull direction. They are all friendly and professional and their customer service skills are on point. My son has had incredible facials with Katie, and my husband is now a regular of Nick's. I have been going back to Brittany's Spa salon for almost a yr now. Each time I leave the salon I feel glamourous and beautiful. My hair is gorgeous and I love my extensions. She is always concerned that each time you come into the salon you have a wonderful experince, you feel comfortable and are completely satisfied with any services. I went to Brittany's with hair that I tried to do my self and it was a total mess!! Brittany had to do a complete color correction on my hair. She did an amazing job and I'm so happy with it now. I came in for a consultation with Brittany and she changed my look completely making me more confident and beautiful than i've felt in years. She does amazing work. Brittany is truly an amazing stylist. Her proffesionalism and expertise are something I have only seen while working in hollywood and in the fashion industry. She is truly a hair star in the making and her work is unique. I would highly recommend seeing her and her staff. She oversees a team of passion drivin stylist looking for more than brilliance! i went there for a trim i had a picture.. BRITTANY her/him self gave me my look ....it was a mullet !!! and then she thought she could put in extentions free of charge!! i wanted nothing more to do with her or he inexperianced staff i also forgot to say that i was a stylist with over ten years of behind the chair service they were tacky and none of them knew anything about hair or good service...also im not to thrilled about a drag queen working on me the whole thing was a mess!! thanks for my cut sir! the color was messy and they didnt have anything in order. the products he puts his name on are cheep and over priced i know that he sells them for more than they are worth its sad really. please if you value your hair dont be fooled by coupons and member points because thats their way of suckering people in run the other direction!!!!!i left unbappy and over charged Pros: i know better now Cons: the whole salon more

I have been a loyal customer ever since my first visit in July 2008 and have long, course, curly and unruly hair. On my first visit I was greeted by the very bright and talented professional Ms. Brittany Molina. She is amazing; within the one visit, she was able to morph my hair into a beautiful, glossy and luscious mane of hair. I have had the privilege of receiving service from several of her staff, all of whom are under the guidance of Brittany. This is hands down the best place to get your hair done in Jacksonville. I used to work for a local tv station in Jacksonville and Brittany was the ONLY person allowed to even touch my hair! Her talents are beyond compare. For my line of work it's important that my hair always look it's best...without Brittany's who knows what would have happened!!! Great place, great prices. DON'T trust anybody else in town. She will give you a fair deal and a New York hairstyle without the New York Price! I can't say enough great things about this salon...highly recommended!
