Great Experience 2/14/2011

I took my soon to be niece dress shopping today. I brought her to Bridal Reflections because that is where I bought my dress 11+ years ago. At first we went to Franklin Street where they used to be located only to find they were gone. I just so happened to have written down the phone number that I looked up on their website and called there. The lady was very helpful and gave me detailed directions to her new location, which is at 4755 W. US Hwy 20, La Porte, In 46350. I'm so glad we found her! We were the only ones in the store at the time (she stayed open late for us). Loretta was so nice and helpful to us. After trying on 3 dresses we found the one. It was a really great price too, less than half of the other places we looked. My niece is so happy with her dress and I would recommend this store to anyone. Also I feel I should mention that she has a lot of great prom dresses in there too, really good deals. more

Great People to do business with 10/16/2008

This Bridal Salon was by far one of my better experiences in my shopping for a wedding dress. I have read all the reviews on this place and I said 'so lets give it a go,' I am happy I did so. The staff is very friendly in helping me find my gown, I never thought I would have liked the style that I chose but like the girls said 'we are playing dress up might as well'....I fell in love with it and it was one of their choices. The sale was wonderful and I couldn't ask for a better price. My bridesmaids also got a great deal too. The owner, I believe her name is Loretta was very involved in my purchase that I have asked her to come to my wedding and help dress us all for my special day, Personally I think that all the other reviews for this store are far fetched and fabricated. My family and friends sat in the store for 3 hours talking and 'playing' as they put it and it was a wonderful experience. I look forward to the day I see Loretta at my wedding assisting me on my special day, what a wonderful woman and great staff. Pros: Great relaxing experience with great prices Cons: N/A more

Belittling Treatment 7/28/2008

I bought my wedding gown at this location and also ended up choosing my bridesmaids dresses from this store as well as both mothers dresses. The owner originally seemed a bit snippy while we were trying on dresses, but I dismissed it thinking she was having an off day and I had not heard any other complaints about her, and when I would go in to make a payment and the store was empty she was actually nice. Once she had a deposit on all of the dresses she became a nightmare to deal with. My wedding is still a few months away and I dread the days when I need to call her. She has also been arguementative and nasty with my fiance's mother and my bridesmaids. She's been asked simple things about fittings and dates we can expect dresses (over 4 months later my bridesmaid dresses are still not in!) and she flips. She does not try to work with anybody and demands things be done her way only. She will not even let my fiance's mother come in for a fitting until less than a month before the wedding although she's almost 60 years old and has been the same size her entire life and has even went so far as to yell at her twice over the phone! I have yet to figure out how to make this work with my out of town bridesmaid! Last time I called I was so happy and relieved somebody else answered the phone, but sure enough the owner came onto the line and got nasty with me when I asked when the bridesmaids dresses would be in since an employee had told me a month earlier they would be in that week. ""I don't know who told you that, but that is just not true!"" So, it's my fault that her employee told me wrong information!? She is just a dreadful witch. Also, now when people ask where I purchased my dress, they all ask me how the owner is as they have their own horror stories of her to tell. I just wish I had this information beforehand because I really feel she is taking something special to me and turning it into an ugly and negative experience. Pros: all the girls that work there (besides the owner) are great, not many other places in MC Cons: Owner is a mean and nasty witch with a B more

Terrible Customer Service 4/26/2008

I found the perfect wedding gown at this boutique and took a few trips there even though it was far from home (Chicago). Initially the experience was fine, as expected, considering my sister bought her wedding dress there! During my second trip back, I noticed that the lady helping me, barely knew how to (help me) put on a wedding gown and veil! I suggested the veil would look better if it was not on the top of my head, but she insisted. When another girl came by, she moved the veil further down, just as I had suggested initially. Not that i would know much about how it should ACTUALLY look, but I knew what DIDN'T look good. The owner of the store seems unpredictable, sometime she's nice, other times she'll completely ignore me...and I'm actually in there to PURCHASE a dress! I was told of a free headpiece promotion (up to $300) w/purchase of the dress. I confirmed that the veil I wanted was exactly $300, but when I got to pick it up, she told me it was $350 and I owe her $50! 2 days b4 the wedding, I went to try on my dress (after alterations) and the hook broke while she was zipping me up. She said ""what did you do?"" and then proceeded to zip me up, ignoring the fact that the hook broke and didn't bother to fix a small (simple) thing! I didn't know it broke, I couldn't see anything back there, nor did my bms since they weren't helping to zip me up. Also, the owner would barge into the fitting room while I'm changing to see if I was done yet!? I find that a bit rude and disrespecting my privacy, her response was ""you don't have anything I don't already have or bought"", which still doesn't justify invading my privacy. When I brought my dress home about 2 days before my wedding, I noticed that my shawl was missing. I called and they insisted they didn't have it. To this day, I still don't have my shawl. Overall, this is NOT a great place to shop, good prices & nice dresses, but not worth the headache over their attitude and incompetent staff. Pros: nice dresses and good prices Cons: Owner has an (unpredictable) attitude, lack of privacy, not consistent in hairpiece prices, they ""lose"" pieces of your purchase more
