I love chicken marsala, and every time I see it on the menu I have to order it! Most marsala sauce is brown or tan, but the sauce at Brick 46 was more of an orange color. I wonder if perhaps they put in tiny bit of tomato juice to give it that color. Whatever they did to it, the sauce was very tasty. I liked the idea of the shaved mushrooms, but I would rather have had portobellos instead of button mushrooms. Portobellos have a little more flavor. \r

It took a while for my meal to come out, but they brought a basket of unique bread for me to nibble while I waited. When I first lifted the napkin from around the bread, i thought it was cornbread. Closer examination revealed that it was more of a cake-like bread that had been baked with tomato sauce on the top. I picked off the stray pieces of onion, and really enjoyed the bread. \r

The service was very slow to start with. There wasn't anyone at the front door, so I walked into the bar area and asked if I could sit anywhere. The bartender said yes, so I picked a table, read the assorted stuff on it, and waited for a menu. It took about 10 minutes for the bartender to quit chatting with the guys at the bar and bring a menu; I was on the verge of walking out, actually. She brought the menu and took my beverage order. Two seconds later the server showed up. I had barely even opened the menu, so I asked her to give me a few more minutes. She came back just as I finished reading the menu and decided on the marsala. From that point on, the service was just right - not too intrusive and not too distant.
Pros: plentiful and tasty food
Cons: sketchy service
