Started taking my cats here when they were young. Then I moved near Wrigleyville, but like the Bramer Animal Hospital service and staff so much that I drive back whenever I need ...

Worst

I was a first time dog owner when I went to this vet. I didn't really know what I should be looking out for, but it didn't seem like the vet did a thorough examination of my pet.

Good Vet Clinic - Quite Expensive 12/31/2010

I believe that the vets at Bramer are highly qualified, Dr. H is probably as fine a surgeon as there is. Overall, their service is quite good - courteous staff, convenient hours/appointments, good facility. They are more expensive than most other vets and they refer out emergencies if they expect an animal to have to remain overnight - two things that annoy me. I hear others complain about the parking, but I always find a spot right there on the street with no problem. In spite of the price, I continue to go back and have been a client there since 1999. more

beware... 1/1/2007

Not so hot... cost me a ton of money for missing something SIMPLE. To make matters worse, the owner says my dog had the 4th most common parasite and it is seen in 10% of the parasite cases, it is preventable with a different monthly parasite treatment. better yet, the Doctor who treated my dog said he was embarrassed he missed it. When I asked for a refund I was basically told to take my pet elsewhere. When I requested his records, all the information about this was missing. more

Good Pet Care 5/17/2006

One of my cats was a former client of this animal hospital. They always treated him very well. They did a thorough job in examining him, and I felt comfortable with the vet and the staff. I agree with the previous review in that the parking in this location is limited, so keep that in mind if you are not arriving early for your appointment. PROS: thorough care CONS: limited parking more

The only place I would take my Cats! 5/27/2005

I have had nothing but great success dealing with Bramer. Their staff is incredibly friendly, they were really helpful especially since I often bring in 2 cats at a time. They tend to be a little pricey but then again, pet health overall is a money maker. The only bad thing is that parking in the area tends to be scarce. The authorities tend to be ticket happy so dont bother to double park. Also, the appointments almost always tend to run over the estimated time they give you. Please be patient. Overall the staff is wonderful, the facilities are clean and best of all, they offer you a little roller to remove all the pet hair from your clothes before you leave - which is a plus considering that I generally have to get back to work after the appointment. Great service though! PROS: Friendly staff. Excellent doctors. CONS: Parking is a pain. more
