Just to clarify, this is for the location in NORTH Sugar Land near west belfort and Highway 6. Since the beginning of this year I have taken my car to this location and it has only gotten progressively WORSE. On their recommendation i got new shocks and struts 'due to the age of the vehicle'. (a 2000, GM) Well, my car was only worse after I got these new shocks and struts. They make so much noise. When I checked with another mechanic they said the reason why they made so much noise is because they were 'not top of the line'. So the last time I took my car back for an oil leak. They kept my car for about 9 days. When I checked with the manager, he said that various problems were wrong with the car and the he 'had to order a part from the GM dealership'. When I asked him how much it cost, he said he would give me the same price he originally quoted me, with was around $400. He also claimed to have checked on the problem with the shocks and struts. Well, finally i get my car back, it was still leaking and then when I go to pay he shows me a bill worth $700! I said, ""whoa, that is not what we agreed on."" He took it down to $500 claiming it would be 'a loss for them. Well, this is what happened to my car after I got it back: The leaking was WORSE My engine was filthy dirty with oil (I know this because when i went for an oil change at another mechanic they cleaned it up) The inside of the vehicle had oil stains My driver door makes creaking sounds When I turn the car makes creaking sounds My antifreeze liquid was suddenly drained My a/c system reeks of oil On Easter Sunday my car stopped I took it to a reputable mechanic in Bellaire. Turns out I needed a new water pump and transmission mount. The total repair cost was $800. Its still leaking, but a lost less than it was after I got it back from this Break Check. However, I still have most of the problems that I listed above. Do yourself a favor, stay AWAY from these guys! more
