Bowlmor Long Island - Strike!

It was a great place, and very sad to say they are closed. and My friend had a party at massapequa bowl, and the video of there party is on there web site. its was great! They have couches, a cool bar, separate party room and a cozy lounge. I'll miss strike and the bowlmor experience, however, thee are still fun bowling placing to go to. more

Spent a load of $$$$ there and had to get 20 yr old manager many times to even get the food, then compain about check. more

My daughter just attended a birthday party there. When she retrieved her shoeboots at the end of the evening the inside of one of them was violently ripped apart. When I complained to the manager he would not accept responsiblity. He did not even speak to the attendants who handled the shoes. These shoeboots were less than a month old and in new condition when she walked in there and destroyed when we walked out.\r \r Poor business decision, Mr Manager. The revenue you may have received a party I was thinking of having at Strike far exceeds the $40 it would have taken to make to replace the boots. We paid $60,but after a months use would value them at $40.\r \r Moral of the story - DO NOT TRUST STRIKE WITH YOUR SHOES more

I usually go to Bowlmor Lanes in NYC, but I was on Long Island with my boyfriend visiting his family and we decided to go bowling. Its got all the glitz and glamour that Bowlmor has, plus a great arcade. And lets be honest, who doesn?t love arcade basketball!? Such a fun night, and it felt just like going out in NYC!! more

I recently set up an event here for my boyfriend’s birthday and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Everything from my first phone call with an event planner to my arrival and all the way through the event was so easy. All of my guests had a great time, we arranged for a bar and food in advance so everything was ready to go for us. We also added on some arcade time in addition to the bowling. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a really memorable birthday party— I will definitely be back! more

I took my kids here this past Saturday afternoon. They have tons of video games in the arcade to keep them occupied for hours. Bowling is reasonably priced, especially when you can get 6 kids on a lane. The sliders and hot dogs are perfect for the youngsters so they dont make a mess or waste anything. \r \r My kids love it and its a great way for the family to get out and spend some quality time together.\r Pros: fun, bowling, arcade more

This place is absolutely fantastic for going out with your friends. Between bowling, pool, and the arcade, there's something for everybody. The lanes are really cool with TV screens on top of them streaming ESPN, videos and other cool channels. They have a good sized restaurant but you can also order food and drinks right from your lanes. Service was quick and our waitress always made sure we had enough drinks throughout our games. I will definitely be coming back. more

Strike is definitely the nicest bowling alley i've ever been to. The lanes are all glo in the dark, there are a bunch of pool tables, an arcade area with air hockey, racing games, and video games to keep everyone having fun. \r \r The food is really good (much better than the chain restaurants in the area). The chicken fingers and the sliders were unbelievable. The staff was really attentive and friendly to our entire group. more

I had so much fun here! I just went to Night Strike last Thursday which is only $16 Unlimited bowling from 8-12am!!!!....that's crazy considering the price to bowl these days..even at the smaller alleys. My boyfriend and I were meeting friends and we ended up there early...Turns out they also have a Happy Hour from 4-7 which helped us loosen up a bit more to bowl all night! The food was good too and everyone was really helpful if we had any questions. I'll probably end up going back, and since I had a lot of fun I don't mind going on any other day! Pros: Happy Hour, Night Strike unlimited bowling!, great atmosphere, fun for groups and dates Cons: I'm addicted and now I want to go all the time! more

I agree with t he other reviews, this was the worst service for such an overpriced place. We left the service was so bad. It is a good concept though,my kids had fun on the bumper cars, bowling, and arcaid. But we will never go back. So overpriced, and the service was so so bad. \r \r more

This is the worst place to have a children's birthday party. First of all, their prices are outrageous with a min of $26.00 per child and up. That's not including an 18% service charge for everything (which they don't tell you) and tax ! Then when you have the party, they expect to put 6 children per lane without an area to serve food or a special room to have the birthday cake. They expect a child 5 years old to sit without table or stand to eat! Can you imagine a child eating without getting anything on their laps this way? Add an adult to that 6 and you have basically 12 people per lane to eat and bowl without chairs. I spoke with the service person who was basically a high-school drop out and she was far from being helpful with comments like ""I just work here. What do you want me to do? I can't do that!"" etc. They got me the upper manager who was a college drop-out and didn't know anything. Finally got the general manager who gave us a pathetic room without any decorations and didn't even arranged the tables or put table cloth on. \r \r Give me a break and strike this one off your list!\r \r Pros: Ambience is good Cons: Everything else more

I've been here a few times and everytime I visit, I have a problem with my service. The bartenders are extremely slow with attitude as well as the waitressess. Twice I had to get up and look for a waitress in the middle of my bowling game which took about 20 minutes and it wasn't even crowded. The whole staff looks like they are 12 and can't handle anything. There's one waitress I had was good- pink dress,a small black girl, Halle Barry look alike (she was hot!) The atmosphere- the lighting, the design is great and that's as far as it goes. I can't imagine what it would be like if I threw a party here. Go if you're looking for a fustrated time. Don't go if you're looking for a great time I know I won't be back. And the managers are a bunch of morons. more

Went last Wendesday and saw an awesome band there - the place was rocking! recommend it for everyone, it's got a ton of stuff to do from bowling, to go-karts, to dancing. Loved it. more

Fun atmosphere, I would recommed thi splace for groups of friends that want a change of venue. Good service and food - all around fun! more

I had never been to Strike before, but after hearing some friends rave about the place a group of us checked it out - it was intense. It takes bowling to the next level. The food was good - great selection and service wasn't bad considering the place was packed. more

Heres the deal: The go carts and bowling are fun. Nice place, go with friends and have fun! The place is only open for 4 months and has hired a crew, including management, that are all under 21 yrs old. Extremely inexperienced!!!! Service was horrible, took over 1 hour to get crap food. Place was packed and they only had 2 - 19 yr. old waitresses running around like mad.
