best pizza in richmond! 2/5/2004

Bottoms Up is one of my familys favorite places to go for dinner! Sitting on the deck and having a slice of their world class pizza is a tradition once a month and when family comes in to town. I recomend it to anyone and everyone! more

snazzy food 2/10/2003

I'm not from Richmond, but every time I come, I always pick Bottoms Up! more

Yummy! 1/2/2003

The pizza at bottoms up is fantastic. The atmosphere is almost just as good, although the wait to be seated can sometimes be trying, but its worth it! Pros: Good Atmosphere, Nice Bar, Great Food Cons: Crowded, Bad Parking, Long Wait more

Awesome! 1/2/2003

The Chesapeake is the best pizza I've ever had - crab, cheese, and sweet onions! Pros: Great food Cons: Crowded more

Great Pizza 11/27/2002

Best dough in town. The crust could have been made in a bakery. Its got a wonderful texture and mouthfeel and is complimented nicely by the not-so spicy sauce and toppings. We live in Washington DC and make a special trip to Bottoms up when we visit friends in Richmond. Pros: great pizza Cons: tough parking, very popular more

Bottoms Up deserves a thumbs up 11/27/2002

I have never had pizza or breadsticks for that matter that have tasted so good. The service is excellent and the prices are great. I love to eat there on either a saturday night out on the town or for a quiet lunch with friends. more

Excellent 11/27/2002

Very good pizza. Full of good stuff! Nice deck in warm weather. Pros: Not too many kids, like deck in summer Cons: Expensive more

white pizza to die for 11/27/2002

never thought I'd like a pizza without tomato sauce! the white pizza is a smile for your taste buds. Once you eat white, you'll never go back to a tomato sauce pizza. more

Bottoms Down 11/11/2002

I used to love this place, but the last few times I was there, it seemed like more of a bar than the gourmet pizza place they used to be. My pizza was fair, and the waitress was more interetsted in socilaizing with the bar customers than waiting on the diners. I won't go back. more

Wrong 11/1/2002

This used to be the best pizza in Richmond, but now their crust is pre-baked by Weiman's Bakery, which I think causes it to be too dry. It is like buys Boli(sp) bread and throwing your topping on it. There toppings are good but not as thick as they used to be and they get lost on the thick pre cooked crust. Give me Papa John's. Pros: variety, toppings Cons: dry more

No dough! 10/3/2002

Have you ever gone to a pizza place and heard this. It was late so my friend and I stayed. They served the best grilled chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten. The atmosphere was great. They had a really cool live band. The waitstaff was pleasant and I wasn't disappointed that we didn't get any pizza. Pros: Inexpensive, Ambience more

Thumbs up to Bottoms Up! 9/10/2002

""Excellent"" A great asset to Shockoe Bottom. The delivery is nice when you are at work or at home and don't want to go out! more

Bottoms Up offers the best bang for the buck. While it may take up to 30 minutes to get your order, it is certainly worth the wait. Each pizza is made to your specificiations and for a little more than $5 a slice, it is a most filling meal. Pros: Inexpensive, Fun and relaxing Cons: Parking, Often a wait more

Best Pizza Place I've found 8/13/2002

I lived in Richmond for 2 years. During my time there, I was probably at Bottoms Up at least once a month! I still have to make a trip there anytime I return. It's a very popular place, so go early or plan to wait for awhile---it's worth the wait! Pros: Big servings, Reasonable price, Yummy food Cons: Crowded Parking, Long waits more

good and cheap 8/7/2002

The slices at Bottoms Up are not only good, they are huge! more
