Degrading Customer Service 7/12/2007

I went by the store a few times on my way to work and the window dressing is beautiful and inviting. I finally had to go in and check them out. I bought two tops. The very next day I wanted to exchange one for a different color. The tags were still on it and I had my receipt. I couldn't believe the reaction there. The women that sold it to me asked me how she could help and I said I just wanted a different color top. Before she could say anything a young girl came over and interrupted us and was real nasty. She started stating all their policies and the receipt said no exchanges and it was written on the board and I should have seen it. At this point all I said was I wanted to exchange a top. After the girl was finished I didn't say anything else because I was afraid of what I would say and being nasty back wouldn 't have helped the situation. I teach customer service for banks and I would say this girl is in desparate need of training. She gave me the worst customer service I have had in years. I was going to go back before this incident and buy some jewelry but I won't step foot in that store again. The girl made me feel like a piece of dirt. Mainly I shop at another store and am treated with respect so I thought why should I shop somewhere else even if the front window is inviting. more

Vintage clothing at designer prices 11/27/2005

I love going to window shop at Boom Babies. The prices are quite high and are obviously geared toward the ""rich"" college students and the suburbanites who don't look at price tags. I definitely would expect better customer service for the prices that are commanded. I had the unpleasant experience of watching the owner throw someone out of her store and indicating very loudly not to ever come back to the store. That incident left a bad taste in my mouth and I will go back to look but I would be hard pressed to purchase anything expensive in the store due to the rigid no return policy. My advice to others is to make sure that you like the item 100% or you'll be in for a world of disappointment when trying to return it. Pros: Unique items Cons: Rigid return policy, Salespeople are pushy, Limited on plus sizes more
