Terrific 9/2/2005

I don't need to shop at the Library of Congress. I go out to a bookstore to browse books and buy them when I feel like it. I am seldom on a mission to get a particular book. If I am, I call ahead. What I love about this place is the coffee bar. It's a great "date-night" for me and my wife to go to BAM, gather some reading, entertain each other with what we've found, and have a coffee I can't make at home. This means I never have to feel guilty when I decide NOT to buy something. After all, I just consumed $6 worth of cappucino. B&N, Goerings, Fla Bookstore may all be top notch for research, but there is zero ambiance more

This is a decent bookstore 8/21/2005

Honestly, I should start off by saying that there are MANY better bookstores in the greater Gainesville area. This bookstore is just "OK", but it serves its purpose, and I believe it has a slightly lower price point than most of the other "chain" bookstores in the area... A clean and friendly atmosphere, but understaffed....its a little bit difficult to find help. Their selection just doesn't meet up to competitors such as Barnes and Noble, so it really isn't worth coming in here as your first book store stop. Still, if the other bookstores don't have what you are looking for, drop in on this place...it might surprise you. I have found what I am looking for 3 times out of the 4 that I visited. more
