Go for a comfortable experience ... 9/19/2006

It's always nice when I find a good comfortable restaurant in a college town and Bonefish is a good example of one, even though its a chain. I travel quite a bit so I often look for a casual place that you can go alone or with a group, just stick to the seafood and steer clear of the sirloin. Three of us shared calamari (average but how we're talking fried here so how ""wow"" could it really be), Ahi (nothing special) and the crab cake (very good) starters. We then had a Cesar middle course, again nothing to write home about but were better than some I've had in recent memory. I had the two Maine lobster tails for a $24.00, a deal as far as Im concerned even though it was the most expensive entree on the menu (everything else was under $21.00). I was anticipating that the lobster would be over cooked and rubbery for that price; however, I was pleasantly surprised when it came out tender and flavorful. The Pecan crusted trout was also a good, done to perfection with a crunchy nut crust. Unfortunately the sirloin, ordered medium rare, came to the table more on the medium well side and tasted tough and tired. The desserts are big enough to share and after the large entree portions it was a good idea for us. They have a martini list as well as a middle of the road wine list to choose from. for the 3 of us no ""drinks only coffee and tea it came out to 106.00 not including tip. Pros: Fish, service Cons: Steak more
