I walked into the store and automatically was hounded by young kids that were uneducated on what they were selling, and let me tell you, the furniture and store looked so cheap! I immediately went to the store next door. The people just flock at you to get a percentage of commission. NEVER have I EVER felt so uncomfortable. Cons: to many to count more

We ordered a new sofa and were told they were shipping it in from Lubbock to our home. The one that was delivered was not the one we ordered. But they allowed us to keep it and use it until we decided what we wanted to do. After using it over a month, we decided to get another brand and found it at Bob Mills. They delivered it and picked up the old sofa the next day -- and threw in a free warranty to boot. Mistakes happen--it's how you correct them that matters, and Bob Mills did a great job! TERRIBLE follow-up service 3/26/2009

We purchased a mattress and pillows. When the mattress was delivered, the pillows were not included. We called our original sales person who told us it was a mistake and we could stop by and pick them up. We drove to the store, and our pillows were out of stock (would have been nice to know beforehand). We were told to call back in two days to see if the pillows were in yet. It's been nearly a week and every time I call, I'm transferred to someone's voicemail and I never get a call back. Pros: excellent quality in products Cons: terrible service staff more

My wife and I purchased a bedroom set from Bob Mills furniture and had a wonderful experience. The moment we walked in the store we were greeted and a salesperson directed us to the right area. He was very helpful and the bedroom set was delivered on time and as expected. The salesperson even called yesterday to confirm everything was ok. wish I had never walked into their store 10/10/2008

I wouldn't even give them one star if I could. the people who work there are very rude. we bought the 5 year warranty on the product, but what they don't tell you is if something has to be replaced they will never fix it again. the leather on our side rail is very thin and rips easily. they had to replace one rail so when the other rail ripped they wouldn't touch it because the warranty was void from the other one being replaced. did I mention the staff is sooooooooooooo rude. I wouldn't shop there if it was the only furniture store left on earth. Cons: rude staff more

I have been a long time Havertys customer and have been very please with what i have purchased from them so far. I did a lot of research on different furniture companies and their products and came across this forum and just had to go see this furniture store that everyone is saying is so bad. ( What could it hurt? I don't have to buy from them right?) I went to other furniture stores and had found a few things at different places, but still wanted to keep my options open. When I arrived at Bob Mills, I was promptly greeted by a sales person and was shown around the store. I saw several different sofa sets that caught my eye, but wasn't sure because of all the things said by others that i had read. Their people are very knowlegable in furniture and i would have to say no one else that we had talked to had the knowlege that Bob Mills had.. My wife and I decided to purchase from Bob Mills for the fact that they had the best prices and everything that we bought could be delivered the next day. When the guys brought the furniture to our home, they where a little later than what they told me by maybe a half hour, big deal I have been late to all kinds of appointments. it happens! About a week after we had our furniture was delivered, we had some friends over and when they sat on the loveseat we heard a loud pop followed by our friends sinking into the loveseat. At first i was angry that we had just spent thousands of dollars on this brand new set that was suppose to last us for years to come. I called the store and my sales person referred me to the customer service department and i told the person what had happened. They told me that a service tech could be at my house that afternoon to see what happened. a man came to the house and looked at the loveseat and said that a board had broken. he said that he could repair it and i requested a new sofa. With in 2 days it was done and we have had no problems ever since. Pros: good prices, good service, great employees Cons: couldn't get my wife to leave more

LOW QUALITY FURNITURE, EVEN LOWER QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE 6/11/2008

My husband and I had a terrible experience with this store. We purchased a sofa set from them, and we were talked into buying the extended warranty based on the fact that the salesperson told us if anything at all happened to the couch it would not be repaired, it would be replaced. She told us she had bought a couch there with the extended warranty. She spilled a small amount of something on her sofa and they replaced it no questions asked. We've only had our sofa one year and the frame is broken, the pillows are lumpy, and the material is balling up. We called to have our couches replaced and the ""professional"" who came said he could nail the frame back together, but we had to call someone to clean it. Our salesperson misrepresented the warranty when she told us our sofas would be replaced. I called the store and asked to speak with a manager, about a week and a half later they called me back. I explained the situation stating what the salesperson had told us word for word. She then asked me what our salesperson's name was and I told her I didn't know but it was on our receipt. She proceeded to tell me that she found it hard to believe I could remember what was said when I bought the sofa, but not the salespersons name. She told me the woman who sold me my furniture would never say something like that, she had been there six years and never had any complaint. I asked if she was with the salesperson every time she made a sale, to which she replied no. So she really has no clue what the woman says when she's not there. I asked to talk to the manager, and he told me the same thing, and I was floored that he too implied I was lying. He told me he had not directly called me a lier, but that we just had a difference of opinion. They are really not customer service, all they do is pick up there phones and insult you. Terrible furniture, with terrible emloyees. Not ""the working mans friend"". They are crooks who will do anything to make a sale. Best expierence EVER!!!! 2/26/2008

I went to go look for furntiure and went to almost every store in town. I always see commercials for Lacks, Furniture Row, Haverty's and so on and all of these companies say that they are the best. After looking at all of these stores, I went to Bob Mills Furniture after I had seen a commercial for them the night before. When I walked into the store, I was promptly greeted and was shown to some products that they had that were exactly what i was looking for. It surprised me even more when i look across the store and a 200+lbs man is jumping on one of the sets that I was looking to purchase. I asked what they were doing and was told that they like to show the durability of the furniture. I bought one of the sets that they were jumping on. If they can jump on them every day and it is lasting than it will definatly last in my home. The furniture was delivered the very next day by the delivery team who was very professional and curtious. When they unwrapped the sofa, it had a scuff on it and they told me that I needed to call Landon who is their customer service person. Before I even had time to make the call, Landon called me and said that he saw that there was a problem with my sofa and scheduled a man to come out and take care of the problem. Two young men came to my home and took care of the scratch and made it look like there was nothing ever there!!!!! I do not know why some of you say that BOB MILLS has no customer service and don't care about the customer because they have given me the best experience ever!!!!!!! I will NOT BUY from anyone other than BOB MILLS FURNITURE!!!!!!!!! BOB MILLS IN LUBBOCK IS THE BEST!!!!!!! awful customer service and warranty 1/24/2008

Like the other entry. We too had a very bad experience. We purchased recliners on the buy one get one free deal. We also purchased the so called warrenty the have. Well to sum it up on of the chairs broke. We called the warranty company and they told us that they would just replace the chair. I was unhappy with that because i had matching chairs. They told us that we could bring both back. We it all boiled down to two new awful chairs for a lower quaility and price to one not badly broken and prefectly good quailty chairs. Cons: awful awful what else could i say more

Best furniture shopping ever!!! 1/2/2008

We started our shopping at Mathis Brothers...where we each found recliners we liked way out of our budget. Ugh. Next to two neighboring stores. The one had furniture that looked like it would fall apart immediately. With kids I needed something durable. We went to the other one, where the salesguy was wonderful but we didn't see anything that caught our eyes. So we agreed on one more stop before we quit for the night...Bob Mills. The salesgirl was wonderful. She listened to our needs and brought us right to what we were looking for! Its like she knew! We were only planning to buy one recliner...due to finances, but hey how can you beat buy one get one free, leather recliners with massage and heat? There was a little confusion in the delivery date, which worked out fine since we were sick anyway. The delivery guys were within their delivery window, very courteous, and prompt. One of the chairs electric hookups were bent, but they fixed it and made sure it was working great before leaving. When I need any more furniture, I am going to Bob Mills FIRST! Pros: The sales girl was awesome and we had never met her before. Cons: We didn't win the sweepstakes. more
