I love this place - and even more - I love Sunghee Ent! She is the BEST!! I should know - I have been going to Sunghee for waxing for 4 years now, following her to different salons...and have even traveled well out of my way to have her wax my eyebrows when I moved away. In dire straits I have gone elsewhere - and always find myself disappointed that I didn't wait it out until I was able to go to Sunghee again! She does a beautiful job - the only one I consistently and truly trust with my brows. And to top it all off - she's super-friendly and always nice to chat with :) more

Kelly is amazing. I've been living in Philadelphia for the past eight months now and she saved my eyebrows completely. When I moved I had no idea where to go so I just visited a couple nail salons-my eyebrows were completely butchered and terrible looking. I refuse to see anybody else! more

Well, I didn't purposely fly to Philadelphia to get my eyebrows done but I am so glad I decided to get my eyebrows waxed while I was there. more

When I first met Kelly, I was trying to grow my brows back to their natural shape. I told her now that they?re almost fully-grown in, I feel like my right eye is more ?closed?. Kelly explained to me that my left eyebrow bone is higher than the right, which is why I feel the right eye is more closed. Understanding my goal, she suggested I continue to grow the brows in and if I still feel like the right eye is more closed once they?re completely grown in?we?ll just take a little off under the right eye to open it a bit more. I was so impressed with her explanation and knew she wasn?t out just to take my money?she wanted to make me happy. So instead I just got my monthly beautiful Brazilian wax by Kelly. Again, her knowledge is profound explaining how to best take care of the Brazilian, prevention for ingrown hairs and my favorite part?she is so fast!!! Its so nice it know that I can pop in, feel more comfortable than I ever thought was possible with an esthetician and enjoy my time catching up with a beautiful person inside and out. I started seeing kelly for eyelash tinting. I've seen several different estheticians and came to kelly after one of the people who I used to see had left. What I learned is that nobody does as good a job as Kelly. I didn't even realize what perfection looked like until Kelly started doing my lashes. So I decided to trust her and try waxing, something I never let anyone do before her. Kelly is so skilled at waxing and dealing with sensitive skin issues. Kelly is by far the best there is. I don't trust anyone but her. Pros: extremely professional & knowledgeable Cons: none! more

Every now and then you meet someone who is fabulous at her job. Kelly Smith is the best esthetician the city, no matter what service you need. She specializes in waxing, but is very good at all apsects of her work. You will never go wrong by being a client. I visit Kelly every two weeks religiously--- she is the best! I moved to Philadelphia two years ago and wasn't quite sure where to start when looking for a new esthetician. I have a good friend in DC who recommended Blue Mercury because of the great wax they use (the wax pulls off and removes the air on its own - it's amazing!) I made an appointment for a bikini wax and since it was my first time, didn't ask to be with a specific esthetician. Thankfully, I got paired with Kelly! I have really thick eyebrows. The hair grows in different directions and I even have a bald spot on the left one. None of this was a challenge for Kelly! I have seen people in Phoenix, New York City, and Atlanta, and no one has been able to shape my eyebrows with such precision. Kelly is a master. I have been under Kelly?s wing for a little over a years and I couldn?t be happier. My eyebrows hold their shape for at least six weeks. Not only is she extremely skilled with wax, but she is a phenomenal with skin care. Should I ever leave the Philadelphia area, I will still come back to see Kelly! more

Today I walked into Blue Mercury for my appointment with Kelly sporting eyebrows that could be fairly described as fuzzy caterpillars. And as usual after seeing Kelly, I walked out with perfectly groomed and tinted eyebrows. Kelly took her time to shape and trim my brows, mix up the perfect color to tint my otherwise invisible blond brows, and efficiently send me on my way a new woman. I went on with my day confident and happy, caterpillars gone, replaced by professionally manicured brows. I highly recommend going to Kelly at Bluemercury!! I can say that after trusting her capable hands to tame my brows for over a year now. more

I was out of town during holidays & visited the phila. loc. on walnut st. The store is beautiful and staff is friendly, helpful and all are artists,as well as experts. I not only got the perfect colors for my liking and skin tone, but a lesson in application that made makeup less intimidating for me! more

I've been going to Kelly @ bluemercury for all my waxing for a year now. She's fabulous, great service, efficient and fast. I recently needed to be waxed & Kelly wasn't working so I went to their new esthetician, Kim. She's just as wonderful and quick. I found out Kim is also a medical esthetician so I booked a facial with her. She took ten years off my face! I was relaxed and glowing. I highly recommend seeing both Kim and Kelly for all your spa and waxing needs! more

I went to see Kelly for a brazillian as the reviews told me... She was not very fast and did not get all of the hair off ..... I was not happpy and it was not so wonderful... Well it took her an hour to wax me.... So if that is fast I hate to see slow.... I called and told the sales person on the phone I was not happy... Well then they ask me to try an other person Jay. And I must say I was out of her room with in 15mins and you could not tell I ad just been waxed at all. Smooth as a baby... Ladies you no what I mean.... Pros: Nothing.... Thats all I'm saying Cons: Slow my waxing to an 60Mins more

After having a terrible experience a few years back, I was afraid to return to this location, but I was brave and gave them another go. Boy am I glad I did! I had the total opposite experience this time. Let me tell you, I have been to spas all over the world and at several locations in Philadelphia and Bluemercury is top notch. Normally I only trust my esthetician at the bluemercury in Chicago, but I thought I would give the philly location another chance a few weeks ago. I had Kelly do my waxing which included full leg and the dreaded brazillian. I had called ahead to make sure she would use the blue wax which is harder, and less painful than regular wax. The esthitician I had a few years ago refused to use it and did a very painful job on my waxing. Anyway Kelly called me right back to confirm that she would indeed use any wax I preferred. I made my appointment and went in to see her a week later. The wax was painless and quick. Kelly is very friendly and put me at ease right away. We talked the whole time and the appointment flew by. At the end she even gave me hot towels and extra lotion to make sure that there was no wax left behind. ""Nobody leaves my session sticky"" she told me. Afterward, when I went to pay, the salespeople were friendly and courteous. I have to say, I had a true spa experience. Most spas treat waxing clients with less respect than those getting other services done. One local spa which I shall not name, comes specifically to mind. Not at bluemercury. You get the spa treatment no matter what you order. My advice to anyone visiting bluemercury is to request Kelly. Also, no matter what city you are in, if there is a bluemercury around, see them first for your spa needs. They won't disappoint. Pros: Skilled, knowledgable, proffesional, and friendly staff. Kelly did my brazilian. I have issues w ingrowns and she educated me on after care and my ingrown hairs are dissappearing! She's makes an uncomfortable wax comfortable! Great job, quick and easy! more

""BEST FACIAL"" I've every had and I have had many in my life time. Nothing was missed I did not received a fuffy facial. (A message facial) I received what a facial is ..... face treatment .... I did not feel rushed in an out... like most places. ;( she told me what I should and should not be doing to my face. I felt like I was at the doctors office. she new her stuff. My face went in looking dry and dull. When I was done my face looked beautiful even my husband and friends notice. When we had dinner 30mins after I left "" MS. JAE BARNES"" . I felt wonderful I will be seeing "" MS. JAE BARNES "" often. By the way it was my first time in the spa. I always shop their but , I now will be doing all of my spa service done by Jae Barnes. Worst customer service I have ever encountered ANYWHERE in my life. I am a cosmetic junkie who regularly spends thousands a year - this place offers a great selection but, after my experiences there, I will not set foot in this salon. more

I travel 300 miles twice a year to Bluemercury in Philadelphia.. If you have not tried it you must. The consultants are gracious, skilled and helpful. I have a makeover and pleasant conversation and leave feeling pampered and wonderfully attractive. I am over 50 and a size 10. This has never changed the warm reception and the kind ,knowledgeable as well as immediate attention. I do not consider Bluemercury to be a shop for browsing, if you are not skilled in knowing what can enhance your look then it is the most wonderful place for solid suggestions. Do I spend money, of course. I also receive a magnificent array of samples for both my husband and myself. We look forward to seeing Joe and Rose in the spring. I think I will indulge in a facial! You were so right !!!! About Jae Barnes her waxing is so awesome my Brazilian painless I was done with in 15mins. She made me feel very comfortable. Also she is the brow doctor they look awesome.
