I visited Black Magic Chimney & Fireplace in Cambridge. I wasn't sure whether I should purchase a Pellet, Gas, or Propane gas stove.  Customer Service was excellent, there were many styles to choose from, and the prices unbeatable!  They took time explaining the difference between the different types of stoves and I made my decision.   I purchased a gas stove fired by propane.   I would strongly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reputable Stove company. more

Three trips to the store and two home visits from Bill Bornheimer and we were ready to go. Bill helped us get the right unit for our house and confirmed safe placement of the unit. The installers came as scheduled and put in the unit. Unfortunetly it was a factory defective unit. The beauty of shopping locally is that within a day they replaced the unit and we were good to go more

Ok, so Black Magic has made up for their shortcomings that I last wrote about. Last week, they called and offered to come and clean our chimney for free because of all the scheduling problems we had with them. And today they actually came and did the job! And they did it well, and didn't leave a mess, and they were nice to boot - just like I remember them when they first came here three years ago. They said they will even come back over the next week or two to install a cap on our chimney so crap stops falling down in there, and they're not even charging us for that. It was very generous of them to do these things for us, and to me, it is nice to know that a business actually cares about its customers and wants to atone for mistakes made. I will be calling them again the next time we need service because I do feel that they once again deserve my business. more

I have had great luck with Black Magic for many years, I have purchased 3 gas fireplaces at seperate times and have nothing but good things to say about them. They have a great showroom and a very knowledgeable staff. I am more then happy with my fireplaces, and would recomend them to anyone who is looking for a fireplace. more

Perry and his staff provided wonderful service and advice. Even after I picked one that I ended up not liking as much when installed, it was important to them that I was satisfied and without extra cost Perry allowed me to swap it for another one. Great selection, very helpful and attentive staff. This should be your first stop for fireplace shopping. more

We bought a gas fireplace insert, brand new Legend G-3 Sticks and Stones.  It was all good.  Set up a date and time, (they were early, friendly, & thorough). The plumber referral was good too, communicative talker. more

From the first time I walked into their showroom to when my gas fireplace was in my home, the folks at Black Magic helped me at every turn. The selection they have at their showroom is quite impressive, if you are looking for anything to do with gas or electric fireplaces this is the place for you. They also have pellet and gas logs. I think it is safe to say that this is your one stop shop to make your living room/bedroom really stand above the rest. more
