Big Kahuna's Pizza

I hosted a company PIZZA PARTY at 11:00 a.m. on Dec 1, 2010 for 90+ hungry employees in the Cottonwood Holladay area and I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED when Paul, the owner/operator of Big Kahuna's Pizza drove up 10 minutes EARLY with his colorful van and my 12 LARGE hot pizzas, custom-baked and sliced EXACTLY as I had requested! The 90+ employees anxiously lined up and within 20 minutes EVERY SLICE was GOBBLED UP!!! Combo, Veggie, Taco, and Pepperoni - it did not matter which style pizza they chose - the slices were all gone before I even had a chance to taste one for myself. But I had 90+ HAPPY and SATISFIED employees. Thanks to Big Kahuna's Pizza for making our party a BIG SUCCESS by PROMPTLY DELIVERING from its little store on 13th South between Main and State clear up to Cottonwood Holladay!! I recently found these guys in the phone book. I it took about 50 minutes till I finally got my pizza. When it got here I was not disappointed. This is quite possibly the best pizza you can get at 2 in the morning and it shows. When I called to complain about the time it took me to get my pizza they explained that they're only location is downtown and they still deliver all over the Salt Lake Valley. The dude on the phone was pretty cool about explaining and that people will often complain just to get more of their pizza for free and through tantrums... lol, I guess they get a lot of drunk people being a late-night pizza joint... My wife and I live in Sugarhouse and have attempted Big Kahunas on multiple occasions. On each occasion we have litterally been left with a bad taste in our mouths. The pizza is gross! Lamest Experiance Ever. Dude on the phone was like trying to order a Pizza from Butthead. I asked how much the pizza would be and I got the following response: ""Uhhhh......uhhhhhh..........I dont know"". Obviously didnt care at all. I finally completed my order after having to give my address 5 times so they would actually know where to go. These people cant seem to understand an address. An hour and 45 minutes later, still no pizza. I called to find out whats going on. They made the wrong pizza and sent it to the wrong place. After repeating myself many many times, they still managed to screw it up. They didnt even bother to call back and explain the mistake. Bad business and Lousy service if you ask me, I used to be a believer...........but no more........no more. Great Pizza and Great Service. I stopped by with my family after a buzz game and was amazed by the quality of this pizza. Even with the crowd of people that had also stopped in they got my order and pizza out to me within 20 minutes. Very cheerful and helpful the whole time I was there. Ive found another addiction! this pizza place puts all the other pizza places in salt lake to shame. I cant believe sometimes how fast they deliver.. so i always tip good.Ive eaten at the store a few times and they have a real oven instead of one of those conveyor belt setups like papa johns or dominoes uses, Maybe that has something to with why they're pizza is so good.The stores atmosphere is nice and its a cool place to stop in for lunch on a hot day and somewhere to get warmed up with hot pizza on a cold one. more

Sweet Pizza and really nice place. I liked the atmosphere of the little building that he has and the pizza was great! We went in and ordered and were out in under 15 minutes. This place is a nice little find here in Salt Lake if you are hungry and looking for some great pizza that is unique and not just your stupid crappy domino's or papa johns. This place is awesome. I recently saw these reviews and must say that i disagree. I have been here a ton of times. I normally order when i get there and have my pizza within 20 minutes. I love the food here. It is the best around. All of these negative reviews must be random and not normal because i have never had a problem there. I love the pizza, but the service is a nightmare. I have waited over two hours to get a pizza and some bread sticks on two separate occasions now. Both times it was a weeknight, not a weekend or a holiday. The pizza is always very good, but there are much better local options that deliver in under 45 minutes. Monday Feb 5, 2007. I have always loved Big Kahuna's Pizza. I will never go back again. I called at 6:25ish for a delivery order. I was told 45 minutes to and hour. I called and hour and 15 minutes later to see where my pizza's were. The young lady told me that the driver just took out 2 orders and as soon as he got back he would deliver mine. At 8:15 I called again and asked where my pizza's were. The young lady told me the driver was having problems finding his last stop but she would give me (20 or 30 percent off my order if I would like). I told her 2 hours is a long time to wait for an order and I would just get food somewhere else and to just cancel my $40.00 order. She Said I Voided your order! (click) She hung up on me!!!! I called back and asked for her name and she told me she didnt have to give me her name! (click) She hung up on me again! I called back and asked for the manager. (I am the manager) can I talk to the owner. (he's on vacation) I would really like your name because I think the owner would like to know how you are running (or ruining i think to myself) his business . ( I don't have to give you my name) fine I will send my daughter in to get your name. (you are going to send your daughter in to get my name. I am going to call the cops!) Ive waited till I'd been to Big Kahuna's pizza three times before I wrote this review. First off the food is generally very good; fresh crusts, fresh toppings, etc. but the preparation can be very uneven, Ive had a pizza prepared very well and I've had one that was nearly burned.
