We had our 50th high school reunion mid October 2013 and it was commented by many classmates to “be our best reunion”. We had Hors dousers Saturday evening and a lunch Sunday that was prepared by Best Western at a very reasonable price. The delicious food for both occasions was presented by the very accommodating and professional staff. The room was perfect and accommodated round tables that were set up for 90 persons with still plenty of room for the buffet, soft drink table and attended bar . Many of the classmates took advantage of the special rates for staying at the motel. Previously our every five year reunions were held in the Tysons Corner area. We will be coming back to Best Western, Fairfax for our 55th! Dennis Humenik - Madison class of '63 coordinator more

Used a travel coupon. Wonderful stay, terrific personnel. An older motel that has a caring staff and ownership. Loved the breakfast. If you are staying in the Washington DC/Northern Virginia area this is a must stay motel. more

We chose this motel for the location because we were attending a funeral service in Culpeper, VA, visiting relatives in Winchester, VA, DC & Bethesda, MD plus wanted to see some of the DC attractions. We stayed 4 nights and interfaced with at least 6 different staff members, including front desk, cleaning and restaurant personnel; all were superb. I feel like we hit the jackpot. I'm rating this based on the price and excellent service;\r Reasons we will return:\r • The breakfast was the standard fare but was hot and ready.\r • Although older, the rooms were clean and very quiet with great mattress & pillows.\r • Bus Stop across the street to take you to DC Metro station.\r • Close access to Interstate 66.\r • Staff is very knowledgeable on giving accurate directions for area travel.\r • Reasonable price for being this close to DC.\r • Nice Pool area. more

This hotel is a hidden gem. Overall, the value is fantastic. Very nice rooms, a great all you can eat breakfast, and friendly/professional staff. While the rooms are dated, they are very clean and have all of the typical hotel amenities. The breakfast is outstanding and offers much more than the typical hotel breakfast of cereal, fruit, and coffee. I would return to this hotel again and highly recommend it. Best overall value in the area. more

This hotel was reasonably priced and convenient to the D.C. metro. Hotels closer in for this trip were either booked or too expensive The front desk staff were wonderful and very helpful. One person even returned cash and a credit card I had inadvertently left at the desk. The hotel was convenient to I-66 and close to the Vienna Metro station. Also, the Fairfax bus line has a stop right in front of the hotel if you would rather not park at the Metro. Good value for the money. more

Very clean, and the staff was friendly. Good price. I would stay again. Great location. Near shopping, DC, the courthouse. Good places to eat nearby. The bed was a little too firm. Not too bad-- just not as soft as I would like. The pool looked nice, but it was a little to cold to try it out! Breakfast was great too. more

Hotel rooms were clean, well appointed, and had a comfortable bed. The shower worked well. The full breakfast buffet was great. We were visiting DC for the Cherry Blossom festival but found the hotels there to be prohibitively expensive. For less than half the price, staying in Fairfax is a bargain. Although we didn't travel by metro, driving to the DC waterfront was pretty quick and ensured that our car was close by in the evening after the fireworks. Parking was $10 for the day. more

I have stayed at other Best Westerns nation wide and I must say that this was my best experience. I was welcomed by very friendly staff who checked me in promptly and was knowledgable in all the areas restaurants and transportation. I was welcomed to a very clean room with a beautiful pool side view. I was there for 3 days for the cherry blossom parade and each day was a peaceful and comfortable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and i was very surprised to walk into a fabulous buffet breakfast that I have not experienced at higher end hotels that I have stayed at. I will certainly stay there again when my travels bring me to Washington DC. more

Last time we were in this area, we stayed at a Hilton - no breakfast, no coffee in the Lobby and more money. Here, the room was just as nice, plus the breakfast buffet was good, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and it cost a lot less. I was a little surprised by the ""motel"" type set up, with the room access from the outside - but actually it turned out to be better. We were closer to our car, and we also got lucky to have a room right next to the door to the Lobby. Room was clean and spacious. more

The staff are all wonderful and accommodating. The rooms were updated and very clean. The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever seen at a mid priced hotel. It even out shines many upper end priced hotels. more

There is nothing bad that I could say about the Best Western Fairfax. The Staff, the Hotel, the Accommodations, the Breakfast all were perfect and would expect no less from the Best Western. I have stayed at the Best Western Fairfax in 3 day increments over 6 times in the last year and We stayed at the Best Western Fairfax for 6 weeks in 2012 during the sale of our home. They made us feel like we were family and the staff still remembers our name. When I need a Hotel in Northern Virginia...there is only one place that I will stay and that is the Best Western in Fairfax. more

Best Western Fairfax is a good place to stay for a trip to DC. 7/15/2009

Planning a trip to DC but worried about accommodation?? I Will say don't bother use Best Western. This place is a awesome place. Not very far from DC. And one has the choice to taking a metro or using there own car. The National Mall is around 45min including the bus + metro journey. The buses stop right in front. You can share the room among 4 people at $20/night. A good place to be at. more
