Not a Customer Friendly Store - They lie! 5/1/2011

Our daughter bought us a digital frame from this Best Buy (Store 191 in Sugarland). We tried to return the frame so that I could buy an MP3 Player. \r \r We were refused the exchange because they could not find the receipt by using our daughter's phone number. We were told that no sales were made without the phone number. Too bad, so sad.\r \r Funny, thing, though. We went ahead and bought the MP3 Player. Not only did they not get our phone number for the purchase, they didn't get any information. Lier Lier Pants on Fire!\r \r We called the 800 number for Best Buy and they were friendly and helpful. They actually called the store and were also told too bad so sad. The 800 number customer service told us to try another Best Buy. Geek Squad Rocks 9/26/2009

My experience there was wonderful. My brand-new Dell computer had major problems; the Geek Squad in SL knew exactly what it was when the online Dell people were clueless. Eric on the Geek Squad worked hours to get my computer back up and running for me. They went above and beyond for me. Cannot complain and only have the highest kudos for the group in Sugar Land. more

Avoid Geek Squad 9/9/2009

Stay away from Geek Squad. On two different occasions, I sent in my laptop for repair. On each occasion, it was returned 2 weeks later completely untouched. Complaints to store manager, regional manager, online survey and BBB go unanswered. Clearly they do not care. more

Best Buy is HORRIBLE with Customer Service! Rude! 9/3/2009

Best Buy is horrible. Geek Squad even worse in Sugar Land! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to Best Buy and/or Geek Squad in Sugar Land! They are rude (which is a direct reflection of Management) especially the short General Manager who is apparently got a napolean complex! As I sit here an write this, I've been listning to the phone ring for 3 minutes! Then it disconnected to only have to call back and hear the same! Too bad I bought the extended warranty plan with these blow holes! Now I have to deal with Geek Squad! This SUX! more

Brought my computer in to have the administrator turned on or off in order to allow a flash player to be installed. The geek squad kept it two days then called that it was ready. I brought it home and plugged it in. Absolutely nothing had been done. The flash player still was not and could not be installed. I have no idea what they did all that time, but it certainly was not fixing my problem. \r \r Geek Squad service is pathetic! more

My experience with Best Buy has not been very good. I paid for an entertainment system and have had nothing but problems with it....and it was not cheap!\r \r It is impossible to reach anyone in the Sugar Land location in the Magnolia Entertainment Center. As I write, I am holding on the line to the 800 number for someone to schedule me for a service call. Oh, and believe me they do not want to help you until they verify your installation date...within 1 year.\r \r I have now held on the line for 5 minutes...for the third time...and I am going to hang up and give the store a stormy visit! I paid too much money for such lousy service. I wish I had gone to Tweeters! more

Eh not really the "best" buy 11/20/2005

Best Buy's prices are not very good. I hardly go there and when I do, the prices are far from the "best." In fact, for the same item, I found Fry's Electronics to be $20-30 cheaper which is a significant difference. I will admit that Best Buy's employees seem friendly and are eager to help. The only area Best Buy might actually be the "best" buy is in DVD's and Music CD's. Another good use for Best Buy is to test out some new products such as HDTV's or LCD monitors or laptops. Other than that, I would look around for better prices. It's not totally bad and they do have some deals ever so often, but on just a normal day their prices are just too marked up. more

Best Buy is one of the best stores 7/9/2005

Best Buy always has what I am looking for. The employees are always handy in all sections of the store. The employees are friendly and helpful. I never leave Best Buy without at least one item. PROS: Friendly staff and great prices CONS: They could use a slightly bigger video game selection more
