First of all, I used Besco Air Inc. because they were pretty cool and gave me options for the project. I appreciated that and decided to go ahead with them. They started on a large and costly project for me in June. They finished the project successfully on the last day of June, which was great because it got me ready for the Fourth of July weekend. The technicians they had working on the project were great; extremely knowledgeable and very professional. They worked as a team and did a good job turning out the old and bringing in the new. The work itself was great, they were right on deadline and provided good work. Everything they did fell in line and I was pleased with their efforts.
A few months went by, and I don't mind the time lapse, but there was a pump function that wasn't included in the original cost of the estimate. I thought it had been, but when it stopped working I found out it hadn't been included. So, getting that replaced added a couple hundred dollars to the original price.
In addition, because I wanted to pay with the credit card American Express, they were going charge me 10 of the total bill! They never told me before that would be the case with this credit card. If they would have told me from the start, and been up front about the payment, I could have planned better and not been put on the spot financially.
Because of all the additional and unexpected costs, the entire project left a bad taste in my mouth. Even though, their service is terrific, the capability of their technicians is great and their team really works together well, everything went down the toilet for me because I was taken so aback by the high costs. I wasn't prepared for that. In the end, somebody told me that I should have been informed about the extra costs, and what using American Express meant, but nobody let me know. I think with any other customer, the final bill might come as a complete shock, especially in this economy, where I definitely could have used that money elsewhere. I might have gone with another, cheaper company had Besco been upfront with me.
I will continue to use their services in the future, and I have had them out for service calls recently, I think they do a great job. I just think they need to be upfront with payment options and complete estimates.
